It’s good to listen to a book where the main characters are athletes. There could have been more to the story though. Perhaps a second book is needed to make this a series.

There aren't enough lesbian, sports audio books! When I saw this title while browsing on audible I decided to give it a try but was a little disappointed. It was OK but the writing wasn't that great, the dialogue wasn't very witty, and the golfer's dad was an asshole... Also the narrator was just OK. There were times I couldn't tell the main characters apart. I finished the book but wasn't very impressed.

Attraction is made up of all kinds of things- trust, conversation, laughs, chemistry- in and out of bed; even a feeling of being “home” with someone. Despite the difference in age, this is a slow burn to quick burn, spicy romance, where the characters are well suited to one another. How this liaison and other relationships affect these character’s careers and their financial opportunities is an interesting part of the story! One criticism, some golfers were referred to as “the Koreans” and that felt reductive. I am probably not alone in wanting to see more diversity and representation in women’s golf but everyone deserves respect. My favorite character is the mom un thus story! You’ll have to listen to se why I say that!

So, yeah, it’s a bit sappy. And a bit predictable. And almost too good to be true.... But done so skillfully that rather than a bored yawn it’s an absolute delight.

Every time I listen to this my heart flutters and I cry at a certain happy point in the story. This was well narrated by Melissa Moran.

This was a very clever age gap sports romance that actually took a look at several issues including family expectations and women’s sports and the general public perception of legitimacy in comparison to men’s.
I wasn’t too keen on the narration just because there was not a lot of differentiation between the characters voices. They all seem to have a New York accent which was fine for Adrian but blended a lot of characters into one. Overall though I was very pleased and would recommend this story to anyone looking for a fantastic listen about women’s golf.

This was a great story and I could feel like I was right there watching the tournaments and it was a love story with some very nice love scenes close to end. Would highly recommend.
