Ivy K. Harlowe is a lot of things.
She's my best friend. She's the center of attention. She is, without fail, the hottest girl in the room. Anytime. Anyplace.
She has freckles and dimples and bright green eyes, and with someone else's energy she'd be adorable. But there is nothing cute about Ivy. She is ice and hot metal and electricity.
She is the girl who every lesbian wants, but she has never been with the same person twice. She's one-of-a-kind but also predictable, so I will always be Andie, her best friend, never Andie, her girlfriend.
Then she meets Dot, and Ivy does something even I would have never guessed - she sees Dot another day. And another. And another.
Now my world is slowly going up in smoke, and no matter what I do, the flames grow higher. She lit that match without knowing who or what it would burn.
Ivy K. Harlowe is a lot of things. But falling in love wasn't supposed to be one of them...unless it was with me.

I am amazed and sad and laughing and crying...
This story gets to how life is how love is how learning life and all in between. Lori prince was,as always amazing.
But Hannah Moskowitz did some amazing writing and lLorie had a great book to read. I do recommend this book like crazy. This will also be the first one I will be gifting also!! Hannah I am so hunting down more of your writings.
To have a love not reciprocated to be the best friend you can ever be.
It is amazing!!

Second, this story turns in a direction I very much disliked. I cried through so much of this listen. I felt so bad for Andie, I felt so angry for Andie, and I just wanted to jump into the book and tell her to get herself out of that situation and stop hurting herself!! Ugh! Anyways, only listen to this if you want to feel the feels, and not in a good way. 😤
I CRIED SO HARD!!!

the lessons learned are great ones, and I think it best that some are learned the easy way since they are painful lessons I wish I'd have learned the easy way. ending the book on a hopeful note is great and realistic, much like the book, I'm not knocking that for folks who enjoy or prefer it... I wanted the happily ever after for our main character. I didn't want her to get with ivy, so that was nice, but I wanted the H.E.A. for Andi and Alyssa (the friend who has a crush on her that's obvious in the beginning her name is escaping me but I think that's right). that's not my biggest issue with the book... my biggest issue is that ivy never gets called out for using Andi's unrequited love for her to get what she wants from Andi and then blames Andi for falling for ivy. Andi or one of their friends should have ripped ivy apart for that, but no, she even continues to use Andi for the rest of the book. Andi isn't very likeable but she deserved to be treated better.
overall I did really enjoy this, spoilers ahead
