About this listen

You have never been a boy.

You have always been a man without a face.

Until he disappeared, Peter Black was Azrael. Master assassin. Now he spends his days hiding on a remote farm in northern Alaska. The same farm he was sent to at age 11 to be trained by the CIA.

Peter only ever wanted a normal life and to be left alone. But the world refuses to leave men like Peter Black alone. An enemy like no other is coming. An enemy that has no mercy. No compassion. Only sheer ruthlessness of will.

Forced to become Azrael once again, Peter must use every skill in his repertoire. Otherwise the people he cares about most are going to get hurt.

A fun adventure packed novel from start to ending. Make sure to read the preceding books!

Outstanding

Different than the first book but just as gripping…had a hard time listening to at least one chapter (Charlie’s death) and had to skip the last minute of the chapter but that just means the author drew me one. Usually I hate Russia vs us plots but this wasn’t the usually snore fest this topic can be

Loved it

I wasn’t thrilled with Peter’s new voice. Just didn’t seem like him. Terrific story nonetheless!

GREAT STORY

But not as good as the first. Plot lacked action until well into the story! Really good story tho.

Great series moving in to the book 3 and then on to the rest of the series!!

Gripping! Exciting!

It’s different, it’s action packed, it’s soulful, it’s brilliant. The author captures the essence of what it is to be an assassin. A superb story, well written & beautifully narrated.

The Gun or The House

It’s pretty good but not as good as the first one. The narrator is excellent.

Good but…

Books 1 and 2 were loaded with action, often times violent, as expected. The creation of a highly trained killer is hard work in this tale. The entertainment evolved around Peter's evolution and endless surprises to the end.

Action and Surprises

I found these authors through Audible’s recommendations and read the first book in the series and then immediately read the second book I really enjoyed both books as I am a big Orphan X, Jack Reacher, Harvath, Dewey Andreas and other action packed assassin CIA type books. I highly recommend these two Peter Black books.

Very good book - action
