About this listen
The outstanding new novel from the #1 New York Times - bestselling grand master of adventure.
Husband-and-wife team Sam and Remi Fargo are in Mexico, when they come upon a remarkable discovery - the skeleton of a man clutching an ancient sealed pot, and within the pot, a Mayan book, larger than anyone has ever seen. The book contains astonishing information about the Mayans, about their cities, and about mankind itself. The secrets are so powerful that some people would do anything to possess them - as the Fargos are about to find out.
Before their adventure is done, many men and women will die for that book - and Sam and Remi may just be among them.

Mayan Mysteries Abound
A great adventure and very plausible. A Mayan discovery like this will probably happen in real life. Great story, action, and reading. Jumps in right where we left the Fargo's in book 4 and doesn't need a lot of back story, even if you haven't read the other books

The Fargos
What made the experience of listening to The Mayan Secrets the most enjoyable?
Scott Bricks reading of the story
Would you be willing to try another book from Clive Cussler and Thomas Perry ? Why or why not?
Clive is a great author
Which character – as performed by Scott Brick – was your favorite?
Remi
Any additional comments?
Didn't seem up to Clives usual story line. The other Fargo books, (and his other series), all held me in suspense to the point that I could not wait to get back to them, but this one was lacking that excitement or anticipation.

Love the Fargo's
I love the Fargo series. It is very easy reading and doesn't get to deep, but it is educational and fun. You have to get past the fact that they are the perfect couple and have skills beyond what they reasonably should have, but they keep it close enough to not go overboard. Nothing to change your life but definitely a fun read.

Another great swashbuckler story excellently performed.
Another author said it best when he referred to reading a Cussler saga as a visit with an old friend. This one is no exception, and Scott Brick's realization puts me in the story. My walks fly by with this iny ears and head. Can't wait for the next Fargo series book.

Stand by your Man
What made the experience of listening to The Mayan Secrets the most enjoyable?
I used new 1.25x speed. Great as author team intended. I liked this book much better than book #1 as it had better editing and Thomas brought new zest to the adventures.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
The villains were spot on. They kept you listening to see what happens next.
Which scene was your favorite?
When Remy refused the air tank.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Another reviewer said this was the best in the series. I purchased all 7 at once, listened to #1 then jumped to this story.
Any additional comments?
Take advantage of series sale. Scott Brick is Fargo
