Publisher's summary

Drama and excitement explode in this new, expanded version of New York Times best-selling author Diana Palmer's legendary first book, The Morcai Battalion.

A ragtag band of humans from the Terravegan colonies fights the Rojok invaders and their ship is destroyed. Rescued by the Centaurian commander of the terror-inspiring Holconcom, the humans must learn to live with their hostile alien counterparts when they are captured by the Rojoks and thrown into the galaxy's most horrible prison camp. The female exobiologist has to save the life of the alien commander in order to save her captain, her comrades, and herself. This is a rocket ride full of action, humor, and sacrifice.

What a wonderful sci fi surprise

Incredibly creative, clever and could not put it down. Woke up in the middle of night dreaming about the story and just had to finish it. Dragging today but worth it! Careful this was addictive. Very cool ideas around technology. I really enjoyed the narrator and found his voice to be relaxing and pleasurable.

New Direction

Diana Palmer has been one of my favorite romance authors since the 1980s. But I think this is one of her finest. She broke away from total romance and ventured into Science Fiction and the results are marvelous. Wonderful listen, the narrator was also quite good.

Pleasantly Surprised

Usually when I get an audio book, I choose one based on the amount of 5 star ratings it gets and of course based on the back cover info. This one had no reviews but after reading what it was about, I gave it a try. This book was a very fun read and I thought it had a great story line that kept me so intertained that I found myself a little surprised and sad to hear its last words. If you like good scifi I recomend this one. It kind of has the feel of the star trek shows.

Diana Palmer's always brings it!

I like the strong characters and the storyline. This is a different style for Mrs. Palmer and I love it. Would love to see more in this series, maybe a story about Stern.

Not too bad...

I read books for entertainment. If I enjoy it and it helps me continue to work or I don't want to put them down or shut them off then they are worth it. This was worth it. It is a little violent and odd with all of the cloning but other wise a good read.

sci fi or romance

This does resemble an old Star trek, but I cant make it past the first few chapters when Scotty got cycled out through the air lock. This is one of those futuristic romances written in the eighties by an author who should have stuck to plots in the twentieth century.

Boring!

I kept hoping it would be more interesting, but I finally grasped that the book and characters elicited no passion from me and this book would not ever be on my favorite book list. Not everyone will enjoy every tale and this book clearly was not for me.
