About this listen

Have the terrible twos become the terrifying threes, fearsome fours, frightening fives, and beyond?

Elizabeth Pantley, creator of the No-Cry revolution, gives you advice for raising well-behaved children, from ages two through eight.

In The No-Cry Discipline Solution, parenting expert Elizabeth Pantley tells you how to deal with your child's behavior. With warmth but based in practicality, Elizabeth tells you how to deal with childhood's most common behavioral problems:

  • Tantrums
  • Sleep issues
  • Backtalk
  • Hitting, kicking, and hair-pulling
  • Sibling fights
  • Swearing
  • Dawdling
  • Public misbehavior
  • Whining
  • And more!

Reading books about children makes me realize my child is "normal" and I can use the new tips and ideas or old ones I simply forgot.

I sped up to listen, and it helped with the slow pace. I didn't agree with 100% of the book, but it was 95% useful!!

I would say it is worth the read for tips for parents for things most of us go through with young children.

Gives some good tips/ideas!

I like that it is broken down into small chapters that tackle a lot of different expressions of the known problems (i.e., for hitting, there are separate chapters on hitting other children, on hitting parents, on biting)

Tips for a large variety of problems

Was not really impressed by this book. It seems very common sense and doesn’t seem to answer the questions of how to discipline appropriately more discusses why the children are getting upset

Meh
