About this listen

A sizzling, suspenseful short story wrapped in a puzzling mystery that will leave you hungry for more.

It's Groundhog Day meets the modern day Old West!

In the lonely mining ghost town of Goldwash, Nevada, Christmas has come early. Unfortunately, the local bar owner must be on this year's naughty list, because Santa brought her something even worse than a piece of coal on this dark, cold winter night - her old man.

Love this author's books but this one has no real draw. I have no interest in this storyline. Considering how much I enjoy her other series this one is a bit disappointing.

Weak

Ann Charles writes laugh out loud series. This prequel to a new one is a great mystery that challenges the listener to sole the mystery before the end. Quirky characters and always some sexy moments. Great narration.

Montana, Joel and an interesting night in a bar called the ugly rooster, might be a story behind that bars name.

Worth the listen.

I was intrigued when I read the publishers description of this story. However that’s not ehat was delivered. I still am in the dark with regards to what was mysterious. It seemed to be the telling of the same story from two or three different voices with the hope of giving different perspectives. Quite a disappointment.

Not much mystery.

Unless someone can explain why I had to listen to the same mediocre story three times with only slight variations, I will NEVER know! The whole idea made no sense to me because, despite the differences, the plot was predictable from the start of each variant and the alterations did nothing to change that OR make anything even remotely interesting.

Confused
