Jeffrey L. Hammes
Panic attacks are extreme sensations of fear that overwhelm the individual. They affect nearly 10 percent of the population. The sufferer feels helpless and in doubt of their sanity.
How to stop this nightmare?
Jeffrey L. Hammes, founder of one of the most popular websites on panic attacks, has offered free advice to panic sufferers since 2002 after completely overcoming his own panic. As a scientist, and following years of immersion into all things written on panic attacks, he conceived of a direct method of resolving the panic that completely shut off the fear. On his website, panicend.com, he presents this basic method for anyone to use that has resulted in uncounted accolades from conventional sufferers to trained psychologists worldwide. The website has been translated into eight languages by grateful listeners with more translations pending.
This book is necessary for any sufferer of anxiety or panic.

Is there anything you would change about this book?
Everything.Would you be willing to try another book from Jeffrey L. Hammes? Why or why not?
Yes, so long as it's written as plainly as the information conveyed on his website. How did the narrator detract from the book?
Oddly, yes. Although it was read by the author, he delivered the entire spiel in a sort of stiff monotone that was both annoying and distracting. If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Non-applicableAny additional comments?
I was a fan of the author's website PanicEnd, which seemed to convey all of the information needed in a clear-cut, friendly manner. I had actually noticed a decrease in my own anxiety while reading his reassuring words, so I bought the book. What a mistake. This book is a convoluted list of do's and don'ts to a counter-intuitive problem, which is a recipe for absolute disaster. Worse yet, 99% of the book is a series of emails to and responses from the author, for an added dimension of blandness and explanations on how to micromanage a panic attack; something the author's website seemed to recommend against.
All in all, it's just a bunch of counterproductive fluff. Read this if you WANT a panic attack, because it'll give you one.
Pure fluff
