Publisher's summary

Binge listen to the addicting, intense, and emotional series that started it all with: (1) Pepped Up, (2) All Pepped Up, and (3) Pepped Up & Ready.

My best friend’s that guy. You know the one. Popular. Quarterback. Trouble. And clueless about my deeper feelings for him. So I’m focused on my other love, running. I want to qualify for cross country nationals, and I don’t need to be distracted by Jace Wilder’s latest shenanigans.

Good thing there's a new guy in town. Even better, Ryan Harding is a running star, and it seems I've caught his interest.

I can handle long miles and hill sprints, but guys? That’s an entirely different challenge.

No cliff-hangers. While the series is best enjoyed when listened to in order, each book is a complete story.

Excellent boxed set

This is the second series I've listened to by Ali Dean. These are the first three books and I LOVED them. This author is an excellent writer. Her storyline is excellent with great characters! I don't think these are standalone reads. I didn't pay much attention to that because I wanted to get to "the next chapter" of Pepper and Jace's lives with each book. Each trial squeezed my heart. I'm so invested in all the characters. I look forward to the next set of books!

Stacey Glemboski is an excellent narrator. This is the first time I've heard her perform and it was PERFECTION. She is easy to listen to for a long period of time. So much emotion in her performances. Definitely at the top of my favorite narrators list.

sports romance

This series follows the friendship, love and heartbreak of Pepper Jones and Jace Wilder, childhood best friends, and neighbors.
Pepper is the cross country track star heading for state championships. Pepper loves to run, especially to clear her mind.
Jace is the high school football star moving on to college.
Jace is complicated, he's needy for her attention, jealous, possessive, and confident, but insecure.
High school pranks , viral videos and photos test their relationship.
Peppers self doubt , her confidence broken. Add mystery, danger, and jealousy makes the story interesting. Jace problems from his past, resurfaces and haunts them both.
Ali Dean brings us into the competitive world of cross country racing.
The dedication, the love of running, physical and mental stamina that is needed for this sport. She writes teenage angst at its best. jealousy, sports, partying, drugs and a rekindled friendship.
Stacey Glemboski narration captures the emotions of all the characters. She is an amazing storyteller, making the characters so real. Thank you for making it a wonderful listen.

The Pepper Jones 1-3

This is the first three books in the Pepper Jones series. This series is about Pepper a high school cross country racer. She has always been in love with her best friend Chase. Chase is a grade above her. Her jr year of high school she starts making a name for herself in the track world. By the end of book one she finally snags Chase as her boyfriend. They have a lot of struggles to get through do to how popular Chase is. Then book three is the struggle between them as Chase starts college and she is trying to overcome her first sport related injury. Pepper also has been targeted by someone and it got serious. Her life was put in danger several times. I will say this series is full of teenage angst. I can only imagine what the next three books will have in order. Stacey Glemboski did a great job narrating.

Pepper Jones!

I'm not normally huge on young adult books, however this an awesome series! this is also the first time I'm reading a high school themed book since being coming a mom, which is a weird experience! so sweet and angsty in all the best ways! very mild heated scenes! plus the narrator is fantastic! love it! ❤️

YA Romance

The Pepper Jones series is a YA contemporary romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Stacey Glemboski.

This is the first series of Ali's that I have read, and I look forward to reading more of her books in the future. The series is a sweet high school romance with the drama that is included when you are that age. The series follows Pepper and Jace's relationship. In book one I wasn't a big fan of Jace but as the series progresses, I am coming around to him. I look forward to jumping into the next book set that has books 4-6 to see where their relationship goes from here.

Stacey did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.

I would recommend this series if you like YA romances, contemporary romances, sports romances, friends-to-lovers romances, or slow burn romances.

Sweet sport romance.

This audio set is the first, second, and third book sin the Pepper Jones series, and the story of Jace, and Pepper. Book one introduces us to Pepper, and Jace, and we see them struggle with their friendship, and the deeper feelings they each have for one another. Book two, Jace and Pepper, have accepted their deeper feelings, and are learning to navigate the world as a couple. Book three, Pepper, and Jace learn how to deal with life changes when Jace goes to college. This is a sweet, romantic, dramatic, and entertaining. 3.5 Stars.
