Publisher's summary

She loves him, but can she trust him?

When I meet Henry by chance at a wedding, it is love at first sight. He's charming, handsome and successful - everything I've ever wanted.

When he proposes, it seems like all my dreams are coming true.

But Ivy, my best friend, isn't happy for me at all. She tells me I am making a huge mistake and accuses Henry of something unthinkable.

I know it can't be true. But why would Ivy lie to me?

Now someone is dead and I need to find the truth, whatever it costs me. Before I lose everyone I've ever loved...

A totally gripping listen with a killer twist you won't see coming. Fans of K.L Slater, Lisa Jewell and C.L Taylor will be hooked by Dandy Smith.

A tragic and devious British obsession

Characters are precisely created with Helen Keeley’s spellbinding quick skills. Author Dandy Smith pens a unique thriller with just the perfect blend of creep and bizarre factors I came to crave. When I thought the final was was near, wrong! There’s a lot more to come. Curious? Lies? Secrets? Who can be trusted? Listen intently as Smith delights us with her accomplished talents and twists and turns. Emotions zigzag from pillar to post, a welcome audition I couldn’t get enough of. Highly recommended and well worth a cherished it. highly recommended that I want to scream it from the rooftop. Epic, I say! EPIC! EPIC! EPIC!E

Lots of twists and turns

The story line had lots of twists and turns, although not all of them made the plot more cohesive. I felt that despite the lengthy storyline, some questions remained unanswered. And the main character seemed less than likable at times. Narration was OK, but I didn’t love listening to the voice of Ivy’s character.

fine

it was fine, I wish we had more clues of the murder instead of one long chapter and a few hints of it
but besides that it was quite fine

The not knowing

I love everything she writes. So different from anything I have read! Love how she writes her characters 💕

Great performance

Narration is a 5 star ++. For the most part the story was the same old same old. Yes, there were a lot of twists and turns, but no big surprises. The male main character, classic narcissist, right down to his flying monkey friend.. The female main character, the classic target. Great job by the author describing how the process works from love bombing to the eventual discard.

Disappointing

Loves her first book but this one was just not great. Unrealistic and frustrating. I wanted to shake the main character so many times, and tell her to wake up! Kind of ridiculous honestly

The narration was distracting

The book itself was only ok. It wasn’t anything special, it’s forgettable. What did stand out was how horrible the narration was. It was over dramatic in the extreme and the voices for different characters were so bad it was almost comical.
