About this listen

Eight years ago she burned me. Now, my ex is the key to my revenge against her family.

The rest of the world calls her the Princess of Wall Street, but I call her shallow. Traitorous. A she-devil in Prada. Those are the nicest words I’ll use for my ex, Cora Margulis, since I’ve made it my mission to keep her name off my lips. Though I can barely keep her memory out of my head.

My brothers and I have climbed the rungs of success, starting from the basement. Now that we’re at the top, I don’t lack much. But my newest charity needs a particular type of building. And the Realtor who holds it is the father of the Princess herself.

If he was anybody else, this would be an easy transaction. But there’s so much bad blood between the Margulis family and myself, I’m liable to drown at any moment.

But revenge burns hot inside me and I decide to alchemize this opportunity. It’s time to give the Margulis family what they deserve. I’ve been waiting eight years to show this man just how high a poor Kentucky boy can climb.

But in order to get to Allan, I need to get much closer to Cora.

The price of revenge, it turns out, is pretty steep.

I just might lose my empire—and my heart—in the process.

Billionaires. Bad boys. Bleeding hearts. These outsiders are known as the Bad Boys of Wall Street and every book in the series features glittering Manhattan skyscrapers, swoon-worthy heroes, and a guaranteed HEA.

L:ove Love Love This Book

The Price of Revenge is a bitter sweet second chance romance. This book is so good also a rollercoaster at times, the ending is the best . There are many characters to hate in this book but the two MC's are what characters should strive to be like.

I really liked the restaurant scene, it was kinda funny. The reconciliation is pretty sweet. I also like the writing of Ember Leigh. This is a new to me author, I'll definitely be checking out her other series.

Jeremy York and Jill Smith did an awesome job of bringing everything to life, not just the characters but the whole world too.

I can't wait to listen to the next book in the series when it comes out on audio.

Incredible Bond

Wow! The narration was spot on, I love these two narrators. Truly a fantastic performance. I couldn't put this down if I tried, it was non stop drama. This is a fantastic conclusion to Cora and Axel's story. Talk about walking through fire, these two had so many obstacles but their incredible bond is what gets them through. Their reconciliation only lead to a stronger connection. It is the Fairchilds and Cora against the world. I so enjoyed this story and the ending has me desperately needing to get my hands on the next book. Definitely a 5 star must read.
I was sent a free audiobook from HCB and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Must Listen to Series!

OMG i'm obsessed with this series!! I didn't want to stop listening to this audiobook. Jeremy York and Jill Smith were the narrators and they did an amazing job telling this story. They kept me entertained through the whole book. They made you feel like you were there with them. After listening to the first prequel to this book I was a little frustrated with Cora but I really loved her character in this book. I loved Axel in the last book and loved him even more in this book. He kicked some massive butt in this book. I love the bond he has with his brothers. They finally have the success they always wanted but now they want to take down the Allen Margulis but he needs to get close to Cora to get to him. He's gonna have to risk a lot but in the end will it be worth it?! I can't wait to continue this story. I was so sad when the book was over. It does leave you on a cliffhanger. I can't recommend this book enough!! This book will give you a little bit of everything and will not disappoint.

The book and narration are perfection

This is book 2 in the Bad Boys of Wall Street and completes the duet about Cora and Axel’s story. We pick up 8 years later after book 1 ends. The boys have made it. And when Cora comes back into Axel’s life, revenge is the only thing on his mind. Or so he thinks. How Ember Leigh writes the opening description of NY from Axels POV is truly amazing. I don’t know what sort of magic crack Ember Leigh has put in this book but lord I’ve never been so addicted.

The emotions are so high and thick it was palpable. Axels intense feeling of hate and revenge and Cora’s emotional deep regret and loneliness came through so deeply from both narrators. I need to hear more from Narrator Jill smith. Her performance blew me away. She brought so much feeling to Cora, my emotions were high throughout the book. Jeremy York narrates the role of Axel, packed with the angst Axel feels about Cora being back in his life. Their pairing was perfection. I’m not one who relistens but I already have done it with this one. It’s that great.

Ember Leigh is fast becoming one of my new favorite authors. And I can’t wait for the rest of the audios in this series.

Awesome Story & Narration🎧 Gripping & Intense!

Ember Leigh delivers more “Bad Boys of Wall Street” greatness and an amazing followup to “The Price of a Promise”, a continuation of Axel and Cora’s story, a story that picks up eight years later. Cora has lived her life just as her father wanted, married the man he chose for her, Eli, and is working in the family business, but she is not happy, her loveless marriage is on the rocks and she is tired of pretending. The Fairchild brothers have done everything they set out to do, became billionaires and continue to excel in the business world. They have been looking for a commercial property for their next project and saw one just come on the market that would be perfect, except it is one of Margulis’ properties. Axel would not let that stop them from pursuing it and comes up with a plan and for the first time in eight years he steps into enemy territory and sees her, the woman he loved and the one who betrayed him and broke his heart. Axel knew dealing with the Margulis was going to be challenging, one he was up to, he has some tricks up his sleeve, but would that be enough to stand up to the ruthless Allan and equally ruthless Eli, who always played dirty, even with an unexpected ally in his corner. This is a fantastic second chance romance, a story of vengeance and even redemption, and a story like no other. I loved all the layers of this story and how it all played out, with a perfect balance of drama, angst, twists and turns, heartfelt emotions and a steamy and meant to be romance. Ember Leigh, thank you for this amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧   Jeremy York and Jill Smith continue to do an amazing job portraying these characters, giving each a voice that is fitting and humanizing them with their emotions. I loved how they took each role and owned it, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound. The pacing and tone are perfect and the quality of the audio is top-notch. They are entertaining storytellers and their performance elevates this already amazing story to another level. Thanks for another fantastic listen.

I am yours and you are mine!❤️

"I am yours and you are mine"

The Price of Revenge is book #2 in The Bad Boys of Wall Street series. This story picks up 8 years after book #1 ends. The Fairchild boys have made it big in the financial industry, but they are looking for a permanent headquarters for their many charities. The building they want...owned by none other than his ex-fiance's (Cora) family. Cora is trying to exit her sham of a marriage, but her husband isn't letting her go and he'll destroy anyone that gets in his way. I'm so invested in this series now. The corporate greed, evil dealings, lust, and luxury are really captured by the author. There's no fence riding in this one, you either LOVE or DESPISE the characters. This enemies-to-lovers gem has us all in love with Axel and Cora and their fight for a second chance at love. And the epilogue set-up for future stories...yes, please!!

Jeremy York and Jill Smith return as Axel and Cora and are simply amazing. These two wring out all the emotions with their powerful performance. 5/5 breathtaking stars!

Axel and Cora

Axel and Cora

I listened to the audio book. The narrators did a good job telling the story and portraying the characters that I enjoyed listening to.

This takes place eight years later from the first book. The boys have made a name for themselves. I enjoyed this story I ended up listening to it in one sitting because I needed to know what was going to happen and how was this going to end and I wasn't disappointed. Axel decides it time to throw it in his ex and her father's face how far he and his brothers have come. Finds out even though he hates his ex he still has feelings for her. This is a second chance romance. Things aren't what they seem, secrets and lies are revealed like her real reason for leaving Axel, lies and half truths are being spread, some things are revealed that were discovered. The interactions between Axel and Cora. I give Axel credit for his strength for not caving but how he plays Cora in the beginning for him to walk away shows strength. I really liked it towards the end when Cora finally has enough and just lets it all out and everyone gets what they deserve. Can't wait to read/listen to the other brothers stories.
