He’s promised to another. She’s promised to forget him.
Eighteen-year-old Renna Degray is hopeful about love and her future after a chance encounter with a handsome stranger. Until she discovers who the mysterious man is—the Prince of Albion, betrothed to Renna’s stepsister. Now Renna must try to keep her feelings for the prince in check. But he’s not making it easy. The prince is charming, funny, and impossible not to fall for.
Trev has no room for mistakes. He must marry the princess of New Hope and secure the marriage alliance along with his future as king. The safety of his kingdom depends on it. Duty and honor never bothered Trev before, but love has a way of changing everything.

I LOVE THIS BOOK
Kourtney Keizer is so inspiring and highly underrated!!!! I love her as an author, and hope to be able to write half as well as she does someday!!! The entire story really hits home for me and I relate to Renna! If you enjoy the Hunger games, the selection, or any similar books like romance or dystopian, this is the book for you! Her others books I am also obsessed with! I’m waiting for the day when the best book comes out on audible so that I’m able to purchase and listen CONTINUOUSLY!!! If you read this book, you MUST read the next three to see the huge plot twist at the end!!!! The book is overall clean and enjoyable, and highly relatable! I love how she came up with an entirely new concept as there are SO many dystopian novels these days that are just a repeat!!! I literally listen to this EVERY NIGHT before I fall asleep, and whenever I have the chance I read all the other books from print! She has all the others on Amazon, and my favorite is probably the second (the stolen princess) or the fourth, (the forgotten queen) but I will read ANY OF THEM 100%.
I would HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS BOOK!
Kourtney Keisel is a VERY underrated writer that deserves some praise!!! 😍
Very much worth the cost that it is!
I also loved the narrator! Her voice was a perfect match!
Really this book is so cute!

Such a great love story!
Loved it! An easy yet entertaining read (or in this case listen). You'll laugh, cheer, may be even cry as you follow along this incredible tale.

I like it
I loved the story overall but I wasn't very satisfied with the ending which is a personal thing and not a reflection of the writing or story. I would recommend tho.

Impeccably crafted dystopian fairytale
I have to start this review by confirming Kim Churchill's performance is nothing short of impeccable. She makes it so easy to lose onseself in the beautifully paced story and strong world-building created by Kortney Keisel.
I have to say, I find Renna and Trev to be irritating characters (only reason for the loss of one point). I guess constant pranking with no thought of the impact on others is not my style. Nor is an ability to move past grief in any way after 4 years. Renna made no effort with her sweet stepsister and that is selfish and sad.
Despite this, I was totally hooked, and only wished the other books in the series were on audiobook to continue the complex and very compelling story.
