Publisher's summary

When my best friend found out I’d be alone over Christmas, she hooked me up with a week's stay in her family’s cabin in Idaho. I was on a publishing deadline for my latest book and was really looking forward to a cozy week by the fire, cuddled up in flannel pajamas with my laptop and hot chocolate.

Alone.

So imagine my surprise when I arrived at the cabin during a blizzard and found it already occupied by an all too familiar face and a fine pack of chiseled abs. Even though it had been ten years since I’d last seen Chase, he had no problem picking up exactly where we left off. I had a big problem with it. It didn’t matter what he threw at me—the old nickname, the teasing, his charming grin, or even those chiseled abs (did I already mention those?), I refused to let him get to me after...the incident. Nope, not me. I was made of stone.

Unfortunately, I’m beginning to understand that when you strike Chase against stone…you get sparks.

A Christmas Spark is a closed-door romantic comedy full of sizzle, witty banter, and mild, teasing innuendos, but nothing that would make your grandmother blush.

A cute quick read

Love this author. Her books are fun and sweet and not too spicy like a lot of the romances out there now. Love this one, hope to see more soon!

Possibly my favorite audio book ever.

I love all of Cindy Steel's books and Stefanie Kay is a favorite narrator as well, but there is something about this particular story that delivers the perfect balance of sweet, snarky, and funny.

I restarted this book immediately after I finished it the first time because I wasn't ready to let these characters go, and when nothing else keeps me entertained while I work, I return to Penny, Chase, (and Harold) again and again.

Five stars for Cindy Steel and Stefanie Kay ⭐always⭐
but if I could throw in a couple of extra stars for this one, I would.🥰

(4.5 stars) - snarky fun!

The enemies-to-lovers trope has always been my favorite. And I enjoy snowed-in stories, though I must admit that at this point, I'm a little tired of same old-same old. This one is a little different & fairly realistic, while managing to be pretty funny as well.

Penny & Chase have been frenemies since jr high for reasons to be revealed. Imagine their chagrin at finding themselves stuck together in a cabin during a blizzard. Penny is surprised to find that the old hurt is still there & doesn't want to concede anything to Chase & his annoying teasing. The initial sparks between the two are more ire than interest, but as things progress, so does their relationship.

It takes a bit of drama for them to finally open up to each other, and it is very satisfying! I haven't had time to really read the last few days and this really hit the spot - light, happy & entertaining!

*Romance level: passionate kisses, a little minor innuendo & a few surprised skimpy clothing encounters but nothing graphic - qualifies as spicy sweet or steamy clean

[The narrator does a great job with the voices & keeping them distinct enough to tell which character is speaking without sounding strained or off - it was a pleasure to listen to the audio version]

Just a fun, clean, story

This book was like listening to a hallmark movie. It was fun, clean, and a sweet story. I will probably enjoy it every Christmas season.

Hot and sweet

Oh my! Hand me the fan! Cute enemies to lovers story. Turn off the Hallmark and listen to this audio book! Exactly what I did and didn’t regret a moment. I listened until I needed to take an Amazon break to order a fire extinguisher. Loved this sweet romance!

One of the best Christmas novellas

I will maintain forever and always that this is one of the best Christmas novellas ever written. Ever. The enemies-to-lovers banter is top notch and the story is sweet, with a little bit of steam. Throw in some ice water adventures and a mouse, and you have a total winner. Fabulous book!
