Publisher's summary

Goodreads Best Fantasy YA 2020.

The intoxicating and bloodthirsty finale to the New York Times best-selling The Cruel Prince, nominated for the Cilip Carnegie Medal 2019, and New York Times best seller The Wicked King.

After being pronounced Queen of Faerie and then abruptly exiled by the Wicked King Cardan, Jude finds herself unmoored, the queen of nothing. She spends her time with Vivi and Oak, watching reality television, and doing odd jobs, including squaring up to a cannibalistic faerie.

When her twin sister, Taryn, shows up asking a favour, Jude jumps at the chance to return to the Faerie world, even if it means facing Cardan, whom she loves despite his betrayal. When a dark curse is unveiled, Jude must become the first mortal Queen of Faerie and break the curse or risk upsetting the balance of the whole Faerie world.

Wow

Cardan’s sense of humor is something else. Exiling his wife with his twisted words and then wept like a baby bc his wife isn’t coming back home. How do you hate and love the characters at the same time? I present to you, Cardan Greenbriar.
I’m still pissed off that his mother, i forgot her name already, burnt his letters to jude. The second book was amazing, no wonder it won the best book in an award that I forgot the name. The third book was beyond amazing. Like woah. I simply can’t put down this book bc I really wanna know the ending. This book made me kicking, screaming, squealing, staring in a blank space, shed a tear and felt relief all at the same time. What i’d give to re-read this series as if i am reading for the first time.

Wow! Epic tale. I wished the series would not end.

Holly, your imagination is endless. It is possible to blink my eyes, see Elfhame and believe. Kelly's voice is perfect for this epic series.

Captivating

I completed this trilogy in 5 days and would definitely do it again. One of the best trilogies I’ve read/ listened to and I’m now officially a Holly Black fan. Looking forward to checking out some of her other work. Highly recommend!

Why did the story have to end!

When you read a series and start to love the characters and then the series comes to an end, this is one of those series. I wish the author would continue this story and allow the characters to live on.
