Lauren Stillwell isn't your average damsel in distress.

When the NYPD cop discovers her husband leaving a hotel with another woman, she decides to beat him at his own game. But her revenge goes dangerously awry, and she finds her world spiraling into a hell that becomes more terrifying by the hour.

In a further twist of fate, Lauren must take on a job that threatens everything she stands for. Now, she's paralyzed by a deadly secret that could tear her life apart. With her job and marriage on the line, Lauren's desire for retribution becomes a lethal inferno as she fights to save her livelihood - and her life.

The spooky keyboard under the reader was almost enough to make me return this book. Also definitely still not one of Patersons’ best efforts.

Gimmicky production severely detracted from book

This book was excellent. Another hit for James Patterson. Mary Stuart Masterson's narration was outstanding. The story moved along at a fast pace with a lot of twists, turns and suprises, and kept my interest the whole time. I would recommend this book to anyone, and, in fact, have done so.

I don't often take time to write a review, but this book was good. Just when you thought you ahd the whole thing figured out, there is a new twist! Wants you to listen to it all the time!

Entertaining book overall. However, the authors worked overboard to keep the plot and characters changing which wasn't always necessary and was distracting. A few changes are fine but not a steady stream. Kept me listening though.
