About this listen

The Argeneau family has a secret...one of their own is a rogue vampire!

Nicholas Argeneau was once a successful hunter who went after rogue vampires who broke the immortal law. Except no one has mentioned his name in the last 50 years, not since he turned into a rogue himself. But once a hunter, always a hunter. When Nicholas sees a bloodthirsty sucker terrifying a woman, it's second nature for him to come to her rescue. He had no idea he would also want to kiss her senseless....

One minute Josephine Willan is taking in a breath of fresh air, and the next sharp fangs are heading straight for her neck! Luckily, a gorgeous stranger saves her life...and gets locked up for his troubles. Can a man who kisses so lovingly and passionately really have committed the crime he's accused of? Jo isn't so sure...and she's determined to prove that this renegade hunter is worth fighting for.

The Renegade Hunter

I think this is my favorite one so far! I really liked Jo and her strength througout. She stood up for Nicholas and believed in him when noone else would. I may be a little bit old fashioned but I really like The "life" mate thing.

Can't wait to read some of the other book.

My favorite so far...

One of the best stories in the series. The plot includes twists, turns, and surprises, driven by faith, trust, and love..... and sprinkled with sexy romance.

Great

Another awesome book by Lynsay Sands! This is another one that kept me on the edge of my seat. I had to listen while I cooked, while I exercised, drove, and showered. Haha, loved it! I'm anticipating starting the next book to get Nicholas' whole story! Hopefully a few things are revealed! Anyway, Lynsay doesn't disappoint!

LYNSAY SANDS MAKES ANOTHER HOME RUN!!!!!!!

"THE ROGUE HUNTER: A ROGUE HUNTER NOVEL" is fantastic when it starts out accellerating all out and continues through out the entire novel. The humor, twists, and romance continue all the way through. Lynsay Sands "Argeaneau Vampires" are my favorite and the narrator, Kirby Hayborne is top notch to say the least. For pure entertainment, you can't do any better than Sands and Hayborne.

what was up with the music?

at the beginning and end, there was background music that was very distracting and annoying. if had been a lot quieter it would have been easier to ignore. I hope that doesn't happen with every book from here forward 😕

Great story until the end

I've listened to a few of the Argeneau books, but this was my first in the Rogue Hunter series. This is book 3, and while it would be helpful to know some of the other Argeneau history, you don't need to read the others in this series to understand what's going on.

I was pleasantly surprised by the edgier story line than the more light-hearted Argeneau books...until the end, that is. I won't spoil it for you, but the end left me wondering if this was the vampire version of "who shot JR?" from the old Dallas TV show.

The performance by Kirby Heyborne was acceptable, though the pace of the narration was a little slow for me - not how I would imagine the characters would really sound. Most of the characters' voices weren't all that different, with the notable exception of Lucien Argeneau, which really stood out. I'd listen to Kirby do Lucien all day long.

Love this series - this 1 is the BEST!

I have most of these books in paperback but when the opportunity came to get them on Audible I jumped at a chance to listen to something funny and well written for those times I am not in the mood for something new and unknown. I have to admit that this book and the the one with Jackie and Vincent (A Bite to Remember) are my favorites due to the kicka** attitude of the female characters. I loved how Jo doesn't get sidetracked from what is important and when it comes time for her to learn the truth about vampires she still is hesitant but doesn't go into that "Oh no, I need to run away and act like an idiot" frame of mind. If you like a strong, intelligent, take no guff off anybody and see through to the truth lead female character? This book is for you. I love Nicholas and his way of dealing with his previous loss and accepting Jo as his new lifemate. As for my favorite scene - has to be Jo's "discussion" with Lucien towards the end of the book. She had me laughing out loud there. Nicholas and Jo's story flows right into Armand's story, they tie into each other and complete the story line. If you get this one, please make sure and get "Born to Bite" as well. Both very good stories. (Eshie fits the same female character style as Jackie and Jo.) As for Kerby Heyborne as a narrator - he did a good job. I didn't have any trouble listening and feeling like I understood the characters' voices or who was talking when. If you haven't checked out this series please do. Well worth your time and money.

I really enjoyed this book!

If you could sum up The Renegade Hunter in three words, what would they be?

Fast paced,True love and enjoyable.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Renegade Hunter?

Love the way Jo sticks up for Nicholas no matter what - Even with Lucian and he's supposed to be so scary... She never gives up... she is so cool!!!!

Have you listened to any of Kirby Heyborne’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I like Kirby but I don't like the way he does Lucian's voice other wise he is good.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

I will never give up!

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed this book! Nicholas was great and very loveable. Jo was a feisty, spunky and true. Great work Lynsay .... This series is so easy to listen to - I have lots more to get through....

Vincent gets his girl!

If you could sum up The Renegade Hunter in three words, what would they be?

I love Vincent!

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character was Vincent and I think he may be my favorite Argeneau in the series so far!

Which scene was your favorite?

I think my favorite scene was when Vincent finally told Jo why he was considered to be a rogue and she didn't believe it. Not only did she not believe it, but she proceeded to pick it apart to the point that even though he thought he might be guilty, he was starting to doubt that he was.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Both actually… It made me laugh and cry.

Any additional comments?

Though this is the first book in this series that Kirby Heyborne has narrated, I think he did a wonderful job and I really liked the voice that he gave to Lucian Argeneau.
