About this listen

The war is on the verge of being lost.

The alien virus has begun its offensive, punching through the human defences and sending advance elements to threaten Earth itself. HMS Invincible and her crew, having barely returned from their last mission, are thrown into a desperate mission to strengthen the inner line of defences before the virus can smash them too and destroy the human race. The stakes have never been so high. Defeat means the end of everything.

But when the virus continues its offensive, brushing through all opposition, Invincible must mount a desperate raid deep into enemy space to win time for the human race....

Or watch, helplessly, as humanity faces a fate worse than death....

I liked the book, the Peformance was realy good,
The any problem is the wait time between books, a year between books is too long. I would like to see more book alot fast.

I enjoyed the storyline from the beginning. It’s one of those series where you want it to end so you know how it finishes; but you also want it to keep going because the storyline is so good.

Love the storyline

This virus plot was getting a little weird but this book was great just like books 1-3.

l think it would have been a much better experience if the narrator was more subtle with his voice characterizations

High percentage of combat., I prefer a little more backstory and a lot more thinking and problem solving not just slugging it out.

Plot vs shooting

the English accent was too guttural and difficult to understand at time sounds like the narrator was gargling with razor blades

Excellent-SciFi. Mr. Nuttal's talent only improves with practice. Only issue is with the relatively uninteresting personal lives of the pilots who we spend, in my opinion, far too much time with. Still, the over all story makes it worth it.

Excellent Sci-Fi

I get that this is a war story but why do you have to keep killing the interesting characters, while leaving the boring ones alone. Hopefully I'll not see the captain again, probably the worst one in all these books.

Stop killing off the interesting characters

I have read most of his books. This is not a david weber book. It is terrible

Most of the characters in this space adventure have good development but some of their emotional issues are too repetitive. Still, it was an enjoyable story.

Good Character Development
