About this listen

Kasia Amon is a master at hiding. Who - and what - she is makes her a mark for the entire supernatural world. Especially dragon-shifters. To them, she's treasure to be taken and claimed. A golden ticket to their highest throne. But she can't stop bursting into flames, and there's a sexy dragon-shifter in town hunting for her....

As a rogue dragon, Brand Astarot has spent his life in the dark, shunned by his own kind, concealing his true identity. Only his dangerous reputation ensures his survival. Delivering a phoenix to the feared Blood King will bring him one step closer to the revenge he's waited centuries to take. No way is he letting the feisty beauty get away.

But when Kasia sparks a white-hot need in him that's impossible to ignore, Brand begins to form a new plan: Claim her for himself...and take back his birthright.

The only con is the male narrator wasn’t my favorite. He is an excellent narrator, I just thought his voice didn’t really match the description of him (supposedly light British accent which the female narrator nailed perfectly btw)
Other than that I really liked the story line and the dynamic between characters. I am an avid reader of paranormal romance so is it top ten material? No, but very entertaining and fun to listen to!

Randomly read it and glad I did!

This is my first dragon shifter book and I really enjoyed it. The story line of the sisters has me hooked. I look forward to the rest of the series.

Love this and want more

Brand & Kasia: Brand is a rogue dragon out for revenge and Kasia is a Phoenix 🐦‍🔥 who has been told all her life to avoid dragons. Mating a Phoenix makes them the king of all dragons so it's no surprise that everyone is after her. Brand has been contacted to find Kasia.. he had no idea how much trouble that would bring. There's so much action and adventure in this book. I really enjoyed it. It does start a little slow but eventually picks up.

needs dual narration

I enjoyed the story up until the end. I really liked both of them, but i hate when the main girl becomes so "i can handle myself" she refuses to see the reality of her situation, or when the miscommunication trope is used as a plot point when really, realistically, they probably could have solved it with one conversation. sometimes a "strong" female mc becomes irrationally annoying, for me personally, when i don't feel she has the abilities to back it up, and everyone likes her for it... for some reason. self sacrifice becomes less cool when its pointless.

the story is decent. the concepts are cool, i like the fire and the abilities and so forth. there is a decent plot but nothing that had my jaw on the floor. a fun, fantasy story romance. mates, action, dragons and werewolves.

i might end up liking the next story more depending on the sister. i'll give this one a 3/5, i enjoyed a lot of it.

I liked the concept of phoenix, dragons, but hated the main girl

I’ve read this prior physically and am so happy that this Audio had the perfect VA’s to bring this world to life! I can’t say enough good things about how well this was executed. I loved this!

Amazing Audio!!

I enjoyed the story, but not really the narrators. The male sounded older, making the male characters feel like they were in their 60's or older and it put me off the romance vibe. The female narrator didn't read the actions or scenes with the right vibe.

Good story not a fan of the narrators

Story was actually not bad. I'd probably enjoy it better if I read it. the male narrator was terrible.

Better than I expected

Female narrator was fine but every time the male narrator came back I was completely taken out of the story.

Walter Cronkite?

Okay I usually can finish a listen within 1 day, this took a couple days due to the length, all in all I love this first book. Did drag a bit at the beginning but I stayed with it and very glad I did. Okay the narration wasn’t the very best but good.
Worth it

Great start
