About this listen

As a rose abandoned in the desert, she's made a vow - she'll never go back to the way things were...a promise that was easier to keep before a thorn showed up. (This is not an audiobook centered around a love story).

Short but good

This was a short but good story. Wilder and Tamara were interesting. The storyline was okay.

Great Book

Great book but missing some of the book. I had to hit replay to make sure. Just like before I wish the book was longer. Great narration.

Left me wanting more…

The story takes you on the continuance of the Roses & introduces the Thorns. There were some audio issues throughout. I’m still committed to reading and following the story!

The Rose 🌹 was too short

I wanted more, because, Emmanuel Ingram is my #1, and Ebony Flowers is my #4. All and all, I liked this book because of the action from the start and it also ended well. Now I feel a little tempted to order the two books in this series. This also reminds me of “Deuces Wild”. I needed this to be a thirteen hours long.😁 This “Rose and Thorns” series teased me a little. Both male and female narrator’s were great. Thank you CCJ

Poor audio

The performance seem to be good but the editing of the reading and transition was not bad. There were long prices in between chapters and characters translation. I don’t know what happen in the 7th chapter as it skipped to the 8th in the middle of a scene and the book ended. There are so many missing pieces to the store. What did he find in the box and how did this story end?!?

Incomplete Audio

The story was great but the recording is incomplete. A portion of ch7 is missing. There are long pauses after each chapter. Hate that I wasted a credit on it.

Storyline keeps making me come back

I believe that I got a bad copy of this audio book. The audio had long pauses; jumped to different parts of the book.
In any case, I did enjoy the storyline about the thorns and roses. Enjoyed the narration of Eboni and Emmanuel. On to the next excursion.

Great Story But Incomplete

Per Christina's usual, the story was great and so were the narrators. HOWEVER, a good chunk of chapter 7 is missing! The recording cutting off so abruptly, and the subsequent conversation at the beginning of chapter 8, didn't make sense. I had to buy the kindle version to fill in the massive blank in the story. Quite annoyed, especially since I paid for a botched recording, but still a great story overall.

LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!

Ok, I'm going to be honest...I usually read all of CCJ's books before I listen to them because her writing is just so amazing. However, I did not read this one after seeing it "wasn't" a love story. and boy was I wrong to skip it. This story was so action packed and entertaining. And although it was NOT a love story, it had a little loving added in there and I was satisfied with that. Emmanuel Ingram and Eboni Flowers are incredible narrators, but there were a few hiccups in production. but that did not take away from the story to me. I do believe the end of chapter 7 was cut off and I missed whatever took place in that closet. I'll just read it and find out. LOL
Overall, brilliant writing by CCJ and performance by Emmanuel and Ebony.
