About this listen

Jesse Clarke is about to find out there is something worse than being hated and friendless in a new school: the murderer living next door. Having just moved to Ashton, Michigan she's shocked to discover that it's home to its very own serial killer. Flaunting the police, the killer roams the forests in search of his next victim, looking for that 'special someone.' This year, that someone is Jesse Clarke.

Stalked by a ferocious murderer and set against an entire town, Jesse's life becomes a torturous hell that only grows worse when she falls for the one boy who can't possibly love her without killing her.

This book grabs you from the beginning and doesn't let you go until the very last page. Peter Meredith is one of my favorite writers! I'm going straight to Audible and get another book from Peter

I have never taken the time to review any book, but this book has a little for everyone in it! The.story starts off slow but by the 4th chapter it starts to be come an addiction. The main characters are well thought out and the suspense is crazy. There is love and loss along with the suspense and thrill. The only negative... I did not like the end! I wanted the story to continue and have a white hat wins. So not what happened and what I expected. Purchase this book and you won't regret it!

Great Suspense Book!

WOW. Just when I thought I had my favorite Peter Meredith book picked out, I listened to The Sacrificial Daughter. WOW.
This is such a good book, I absolutely loved it. Such amazing messages, such scary stuff! It had my emotions all over the place (and I'm not very emotional lol!). I could so relate with her plight, so rooted for her. This book is so well written and also so well narrated, you should most definitely give it a listen. It will make you laugh, cry, THINK. All the while scaring the crap out of you! This is horror. I enjoyed it immensely and will probably listen to it again soon! After I finish the other books by Peter Meredith!
GET THIS BOOK!

I was back and forth on who the killer was the entire book. I need to mourn now...

Just heartbreaking! Great book though.

Based from what I've read from Peter Meredith, I was expecting something along the lines of "horror" but unfortunately, it wasn't. On the flip side, I really enjoyed the story due to the different issues Peter Meredith writes about. Kinda slow at times, some will probably dislike it but in my opinion, a breath of fresh air. I liked Jessie's character and I loved Christine Cavanaugh's voice. I can seriously listen to her voice every day and night until I fall asleep. Very beautiful and soothing.

Not what I expected but...

I am normally a huge fan of Meredith but would not recommend this book. It was very repetitive and full of teen drama, so a young adult or even mature high school aged kid may enjoy it. It was not a bad story, but may have been a better short story. It is also a bit political which I don’t mind but some may want a heads up. Narrator was a bit slow, but if you sped up a little was tolerable. Still a huge Meredith fan!

Good for teen to young adults

A colossal waste of time and money. The story line was poor. There were too many things going on that didn't all jive. A ton of linguistic errors that were not part of the nuances of a character. It was just bad.

Ugh.
