Publisher's summary

Full of romance and humour, this is a book about fresh starts, friendship and the unexpected places we find happiness.

This is the story of two women.
One old, one young.
One looking for new adventures. One looking for a purpose.
Both needing a friend.

And this is how, along with two little girls in need of a family, a gorgeous stranger, and a scruffy dog, they bring the whole community together every Saturday morning for love, laughter and a little bit of running…(well, power walking).

Some people come into your life when you need them the most.

Almost gave up because of the narration but....

Well-developed characters and an interesting storyline. The narration really put me off at first. It's very over the top and the male protagonist voicing simply does not work. It settled down as time went on, and I was very sorry to hear this book end. Jules Wake is an excellent writer. The other thing that put me off at first was the opening story line--two twenty somethings meet and soon fall into bed with one another. Both seemed cliched as did the story at that point. I stuck it out because I'd read other Jules Wake books and am glad I did.
