I liked the idea of portals. I like a story about time travel. I like a good mystery. Once I got into this book it had my full attention. I needed to finish it. To me that is what makes a good book.
I loved the Narrator, she reads the book with the eerie voice of the haunted girl perfectly!
But she also can inflect the surprised voice of the girl when needed. She also can change her voice for other characters and make them sound believable.
I would recommend this book to other readers with the same interests of me. This is definitely not for just Romance readers. Looking forward to the next book by the author. Also looking forward to any other books by the Narrator.

there is some aspects of the story which i can summarize as confusing, off kilter, an acid trip across experiences that roam through time and space. yet somehow i first guessed the true horror of this weird little tale and was pleasantly surprised it came together (somehow).

This book is filled with suspense, horror, family strife, and psychological manipulation. The narrator was excellent, and brought the characters to life in the eeriest way. This book had my skin prickling throughout, and I couldn't stop listening until the end. I highly recommend this book!

I met the author on Tiktok & decided to give her work a try. Definitely worth a listen. It's quick, easy. Not too intricate of a story, but still interesting and fun for when you just need some light reading. I will read future works from this author.

I really enjoyed this book and enjoyed the narrator who I find sounds like Susan Sarandon. It’s about a woman who goes back to her childhood home having never worn thing to do so she re-exam it’s our life and the people that raise their I found this book to be very good especially the ending I thought it was awesome!

The Schatten storyline contains elements of suspense, horror, a curse, supernatural entities and family dynamics. This is one wild ride that will keep you in the edge of your seat not wanted to stop listening. The story is well written and very descriptive. I will admit that this book scared me silly. Wow Ashley Greenhouse I must say you are amazing. The narrator Michelle Sobeski was an amazing her voice really fit the story perfectly.
I received this book at my request and I highly recommend it if you like suspense mixed with horror and drama. I am leaving my honest review here voluntarily of my own volition.

This was a great haunting mystery. This narrator added to the suspense and creepy factor. This story had me guessing from the start and surprised me at the end. I can't suggest this enough to paranormal mystery fans. Lisa hasn't had the easiest life. It actually has been unfair to her. She lost her parents. She was sent to live with grandparents that didn't show her any love. Her experiences led her to think she has mental issues. She returns to the house that tormented her after a family death. As the reader we don't know if she really is experiencing what she thinks she is or if it's in her mind. Then we are hit the truth of the mystery and I guarantee you won't guess it. I loved this book. Kept me involved the whole way through. I definitely will be reading more form this author.
