About this listen

Fame has its price - and in Hollywood, it can cost you your life. That’s where Abby Sinclair comes in. She infiltrates the lives of celebrity stalkers to separate the homicidal from the harmless. It doesn’t take her long to realize that the man harassing LA’s most glamorous TV newswoman poses a very real threat.

Raymond Hickle used to be golden-haired Kris Barwood’s biggest fan. Now he’s her worst nightmare. Phone calls and gifts have failed to win her heart, so now he’s taking a new approach. When he’s finished, Hickle will be famous - and Kris will be dead.

Posing as Hickle’s new neighbor, Abby tries to draw out his secrets and prevent a tragedy - by any means necessary. But nothing about this case is as simple as it seems. And by the time she learns how deep the danger lies, Abby is no longer the hunter… she’s the prey.

more like a 4.4

Almost didn't finish it. After the opening grab, things flattened out too much. I am unsure if it was the style of writing or what. The book finished strong.... I love it when I can't tell what the next step is going to be.

Mind blowing twist

This started out as a good story of a private security employee, Abby that infiltrates the suspect's life with friendship, in an effort to thwart an attempt on her client's life. She's coming back from a big failure with this case, when a TV anchorwoman is threatened by stalker, Raymond Hickle. Abby seems to be doing her job well, while we see the characters developing and becoming more interesting. The listening went along slowly for awhile, with gathering of evidence and procedure, when a huge twist to the story blew my mind. Changed the whole book for me and the suspense kept the ear buds in. Don't give up on this one, it's a good listen.

Great Read!

What was enjoyable about this thriller is that it kept you guessing until the end. The characters were believable and there was plenty of action. I'm looking forward to more by this author!

Read Only if You Want to be Annoyed

While the overall story in this book was interesting, the heroine was the most annoying. She was smart and intuitive, but she did stupid stuff repeatedly. Plus, there were allusions to her having secrets but never an explanation. Lastly, the narrator's voice was not very distinct for the different characters. Let's just say that I'm glad this book was free.

trite

the author was obviously trying to make a short story into a novel by going into long unnecessary descriptions of unimportant things. the story was boring, predictable and chick full of cliches...total waste of time. the narrator's attempt at men's voices was poor and disconcerting.
