About this listen

For over 20 years, Jim Curtis has battled a mysterious chronic illness. He grew accustomed to living in pain, denial, and despair. But when traditional medical therapies didn't help, he sought answers elsewhere. He traveled the world and met a group of extraordinary people he calls the Stimulati - and what he learned from them ultimately changed his life.

In The Stimulati Experience, Jim outlines his own incredible journey as well as his step-by-step program to overcome pain, setback, and struggle to transform your life into one filled with better health, freedom, joy, strength, and purpose. Whether you suffer from a chronic illness, anxiety, or depression, you'll learn how to achieve better health and an abundance of happiness. Featuring a motivational and inspiring foreword by New York Times best-selling author Gabrielle Bernstein, The Stimulati Experience distills Jim's unique nine-step program created from his own personal experience, the Stimulati themselves, and lessons he has learned from creating the world's leading digital health platforms.

Love how Jim Curtis lives and shares valuable information, but I wish the narrator would not try to imitate a woman’s voice.

It distracts from the content when the narrator quotes a woman stimulati by raising and weakening his voice. The strength of these women doesn’t come through when he does this, and it’s nauseating. I wish this book had been narrated by Jim himself, and just narrated straight whether a man or woman being quoted.

Fantastic sellf hell book. Glad I found it.

This is a great book. I love the term "stimulati" for all the wise teachers, shamans, healers, and everyday people that Jim encounters in his journey to heal himself. Jim is a master storyteller. He uses storytelling to weave intentional lessons and provoke his readers to consider alternative ways to heal themselves and encourage them in their own journey. I do not have a chronic medical condition however I found the struggles of so many in this book motivating and inspiring. I also appreciate how open and vulnerable Jim is with his readers. this book reminds me of the book, "Born to Run," because its author takes you into the personal as well as the stories of others. The reader comes away with more tools to consider.

The determination these people had.

I didn’t care for the fact he pressured some to give there real name. But that’s just my personal opinion

Full of aspirations, short on the journey

Some really great methods for taking control of your life and steering towards something better. From the summary, though, I was hoping for more about Jim's journey itself. That said, this one book distills the best of an entire self-help aisle at the bookstore.

Great resources

Jim Curtis provides inspiring stories and concrete suggestions, as well as the resources to do further research on your own. Best advice of all was to clarify your life purpose...until you figure that out, it’s hard to know what you’re fighting for. But if you know that, you find your reason for getting up each new day. A good read and practical ideas.
