About this listen

From a USA Today best-selling author: Crime world fixer Levi is hunting down those who want to destabilize Western society and finds himself dealing with corrupt government apparatchiks from both sides of the Atlantic. A riveting thriller about power, corruption, and deadly politics.

As a fixer for one of the New York Mafia families, Levi would rather keep a low profile. That changes when the Outfit, a mysterious organization, reaches out to him for assistance. Threats to a set of world leaders have been traced back to members of organized crime and their connection with government insiders from DC and Moscow.

When dealing with criminals, Levi knows what to do. However, when he finds himself immersed in a world filled with smiling officials, political apparatchiks, and deceit beyond compare, he learns why some people think of government as The Swamp.

In The Swamp, Levi finds himself taking on an almost unattainable goal: Stop an impending threat that, if successful, could destabilize much of Western society and give rise to something much worse.

With threats emerging at a frantic pace on two continents, Levi can’t be everywhere at once.

It may already be too late to do anything about what's going to happen.

My fourth Levi Yoder book, and it didn’t disappoint!

I’m not good at reviewing books, but author is my new favorite, as is his Levi Yoder character. I’m also a fan of the descriptions he gives regarding current events, and scientific research on equipment he uses for his characters. The performance by Tim Campbell is also excellent, and I’ll be searching for other books performed by him when I’m done with all of Rothman’s other novels.

Interesting

Man I could listen to Levi stories daily. Most writers now want you to know who they vote for. It is refreshing not to know.

Another Outstanding Story

M.A. Rothman’s protagonist, Levi Yoder, is the most interesting dark-side superhero I’ve encountered. It’s fascinating to see him complete his missions with compassionate but ruthless intensity. His supporting characters are gems as well.

Felt rushed. Not like the previous 3

I love the series but this one was very different. Felt rushed and not flushed out fully. Ended coulda brought about introducing his daughter. Good performance though.

Characters hard to relate to

Didn't get very far. All the characters are sleazy and sexist. Societal commentary and political pot shots are hard to stomach.
