About this listen

Ruth and her beloved brother, Philip, find solace in the expanse of Tanglewoods. There, they escape into bird watching, climbing, and general misadventures with their friend Terry. But life with their aunt is harsh, and Ruth suffers from an incorrigible temper. Just when she thinks she can't take it anymore, she learns a very special secret about a very special shepherd. When a dreadful accident hurts someone they love, Ruth and Philip learn that the Tanglewoods' secret isn't meant to be kept a secret.

Inspiring

Good introduction for young children on how to become a Christian. Good for conversation starters.

The Good Shepherd

This particular title was especially good. I love how the author weaves in the love of Jesus and how he is the greatest Shepherd. This book is a wonderful reminder of Jesus’ great love for his people and how we can be one of his lambs. He always finds his lambs no matter where they are in life. No lamb is too far away that the Shepherd can’t find him or her.
