About this listen

This best-selling first audiobook in the Tapper Twins series is a hilariously authentic showcase of what it's like to be in middle school in our digitally-saturated world, told as a colorful "oral history" with photos, screenshots, text messages, chat logs, and online gaming digital art.

Twelve-year-old twins, Claudia and Reese, who couldn't be more different...except in their determination to come out on top in a vicious prank war. But when the competition escalates into an all-out battle that's fought from the cafeteria of their New York City private school all the way to the fictional universe of an online video game, the twins have to decide if their efforts to destroy each other are worth the price.

Don't miss the further adventures of the Tapper Twins in The Tapper Twins Tear Up New York, The Tapper Twins Run for President, and The Tapper Twins Go Viral.

Critic reviews

"This uproarious series opener...is packed with both laugh-out-loud moments and heart." (Publishers Weekly, starred review)

The one thing I don't like about it was that say if she read a part of a chat log or a text message history it keeps on saying MetaWorld Chat Log or Mom and Dad Text Messages and it was kinda annoying. But after all it was really good. And I liked how the characters spoke and not some random narrator. I gave it 5 stars cause it was good but if I had to judge harsh for the chat log thing etc.. It would of have been a 4 and a half.

It's was a good book!

my 9-year old son and I did not like the book. lukewarm "it's Ok" was his response, and I didn't like it at all. while the story is not bad, reading is really boring, particularly parts where they read text messages and online posts. we listened to Henry Huggins series of books right before this one and the entertainment value was so much higher with the former.

uninspired reading
