"A supersharp mystery...confoundingly clever, and very funny." (Booklist, starred review)

A bizarre chain of events begins when 16 unlikely people gather for the reading of Samuel W. Westing's will. And though no one knows why the eccentric, game-loving millionaire has chosen a virtual stranger - and a possible murderer - to inherit his vast fortune, one thing's for sure: Sam Westing may be dead...but that won't stop him from playing one last game!

This has been my favorite book since I was in 8th grade. I was on a road trip, so I decided to listen to it. Aside from the terrible issues one has when having read the book first of not pronouncing things the way you thought they were in your head, or people having accents that didnt in your mind, and then feeling self righteous about it; it was all very well, and I enjoyed it greatly.

Not what I imagined, but not a disappointment.

My mom read this book to me when I was a child. Now, I wanted to experience it for myself as an adult. I think the premise of the story is creative (for the time it was written). The characters are fun, and a bit quirky. Overall, great book!

I read this book years ago in school as a first introduction to the mystery genre. I've read it a couple times since then and have enjoyed it each time. it's not the most difficult to figure out, or the most suspenseful, but I love it anyway.

Might seem a bit slow to start but solid mystery with fun details. Good narrator, worth a listen for sure.
