About this listen

New York Times best-selling author Rita Mae Brown thrills audiences with this exhilarating mystery from her popular foxhunting series, as "Sister" Jane Arnold, astute septuagenarian and master of the Jefferson Hunt Club, tries to flush a killer out of her charming community.

The February hunt season is in full swing in genteel Virginia when the neighborhood is rocked by murder: the female victim stripped naked and propped onto a horse statue outside a tack shop.

Thrilling, if your into horses

This murder mystery kept me listening. I loved the foxhunting setting throughout. My only complaint was the large amount of characters introduced very quickly, it took a few chapters to keep them straight. Overall, a great mystery!

deeply developed characters , an excellent and exc

exciting story. Just finished for the third time ! Rita Mae Brown comes through yet again. Her writing took me to Central Virginia , I smelled the apple blossoms , heard the crunch of the snow under my boots and the Screech Owl , Bitzie. I rode horses again. This book was such a Joy and a wonderful experience.

excellent engaging story

as always Rita Mae Brown writes a excellent story and Cynthia does a great job of reading it.while the stories are entertaining there's always truths that are told in them and things that we can learn from them and reminders to keep us engaged with nature and each other

I miss RMB narration but still great

Another great installment in a fabulously foxy series! I love these books so much! The characters are engaging and so reminiscent of folks from my childhood. RMB even name dropped the hunt which rode through our fixture (and whom were kind enough to let the pony clubbers like me hunt) Marlboro Hunt Club. I miss RMB’s narration which is only reason I gave the performance a 4 instead of a 5. When RMB narrates, I can almost hear Snowy Myers talking! Love!
