About this listen

From USA Today best-selling authors comes the highly anticipated sequel to The Thought Readers

What am I?

Who killed my family?

Why?

I need to get some answers before the Russian mob succeeds in killing me.

That is, if my own friends don't kill me first.

Great idwea, good voice, poorly read.

Enjoy this narrator. ... but not this time. Unsure why it was so poorly produced and released anyway. Middle of a sentence there are odd pauses similar to someone advancing pages. Should have had those sequences redone.
Story was original and fun. What I expected after the other books same author and narrator.
Nice diversion. Entertaining.

An intense sci-fi adventure...

A great sequel to the very captivating “The Thought Readers”, this book had a lot to live up to but it does not disappoint and is a great piece of literary work in its own right. This is the story of Darren, who at the end of the last book is left questioning the full extent of his abilities, could it be that he is actually a Thought Pusher and not just a Thought Reader? This follow up develops Darren’s road of self discovery, for example who were his birth parents and what were they hiding that led to their untimely death? Who was responsible for killing them and is Darren facing the same deadly fate? If he truly is a Pusher, what does that mean for him and ultimately his very fragile relationship with the untrusting Mira who has sworn vengeance on all Pushers?
This is a very dramatic and intense story, in which you really gain a deeper understanding of the characters. The plot is developed and progresses very cleverly. I was pretty sure I knew how this sequel would go, but it kept me guessing right up to the end with suspenseful plot twists, it leaves you wanting more. This is a very exciting and captivating psychological thriller and an extremely promising sci-fi series.

Spellbinding story that entraps you from the start

What made the experience of listening to The Thought Pushers the most enjoyable?

What made this experience the best was how this story picks up from the first in the series and runs with it. The two books fit together seamlessly.

What does Roberto Scarlato bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

With Roberto Scarlato narrating the book, you get a voice for each individual that you wouldn't neccesarily experience if just reading the book.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Are you a reader or a pusher? Ahhh....Push It!!

Any additional comments?

Loved this book and can't wait for the third in the series.

Really like the concept...

The idea is a unique one to me and very intriguing. The story is good but at times I feel like something is missing or not clicking but I don't know what it is. The narrator is superb. I'll definitely keep with the series.

A Great Sequel to the First one

If you could sum up The Thought Pushers in three words, what would they be?

Thought Provoking Fun

What did you like best about this story?

The chance to read a book about the supernatural that is done well, was exciting, carried me along, and did not let up the action.

What does Roberto Scarlato bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I read the First Book in the Mind Dimensions Series, The Thought Readers. The Thought Pushers: Mind Dimensions, Book 2 was a well written, and much anticipated sequel to what I must say, was a very good book.

Something the really added to the enjoyment and intensity of the series, and what I believe will keep it going strong, are the narration skills of Mr. Robert Scarlato. He does an excellent job of taking the characters created by the authors and bringing them to life for the listeners. He has you on the edge of your seat imagining each and ever scene in the story and wanting to find out what is going to occur next, routing for the good guy, dreading the bad guy, wanting more.

Once again the subject matter of the supernatural/preternatural, telepathy and mind reading just are cool to immerse yourself in, and although its an awesome subject matter, its easy to fall flat if you dont do things just right, if you try and take over someones head with the subject matter. This never did that., and that was something I appreciated as a fan.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I really liked the way the ended the book, but really cant get too into that without giving spoilers.

Good story, 'meh' narrator

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. It is an enjoyable listen

How did the narrator detract from the book?

He doesn't seem to know when to pause properly in a sentence. His speech pattern is very choppy and often I'm finding myself initially thinking he's starting another sentence, when in fact, it's the same sentence with an inappropriate pause inserted into the middle of it. I'm often needing to play back (in my head) the last few sentence fragments to properly understand the author's intent.

Good story but ...

What made the experience of listening to The Thought Pushers the most enjoyable?

The story was good and interesting

What didn’t you like about Roberto Scarlato’s performance?

I did not like his performance, that was the worst part of the book. It is hard to describe why it was irritating but it was almost like he spoke with a "swager" or was a talking crooner. It got to be far less irritating about mid way through the book probably because I just got more used to it.

Any additional comments?

The story had a number situations where the person could have used their abilities to avoid problems. Examples include a time when someone was shot and another when someone was in the hospital.

Good story, bad reading

If you could sum up The Thought Pushers in three words, what would they be?

thought provoking adventure

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

No, interesting story, but poorly read.

What didn’t you like about Roberto Scarlato’s performance?

The book has a great premise and a very good climax, however Mr. Scarlato's performance makes it about as exciting as watching paint dry. I have never heard an exciting scene like that read with so little emotion. Really has me thinking about whether I continue this as an audiobook or just go buy the book and read it myself.

Love this authors books!

This is the next book in the Mind dimensions series. It follows Darren as he learns more about himself, where he came from and what he is. Also followed are Mira and Eugene as their lives intertwine. He learns about his biological parents and more about his family. There are some really good twists that I did not see coming. The author has a great imagination and tells a terrific, fantastic story.
There is a lot of details so you can use your imagination to picture what is happening. In the beginning it starts out at a slow pace but picks up as you listen on. During the final chapters I was on the edge of my seat. The action is very good with just a slight amount of humor. The narrator has very good emotion while telling the story, he keeps me interested and wanting to hear more. I don't want to give away anything but by the end you will be getting into the storyline and not want it to end. I can't wait to read the next book!
