About this listen

A miracle drug that saves millions suddenly backfires, threatening to end human life on earth. It's up to four teenagers and a time traveler to find a solution before it's too late.

Supreme Pharmaceuticals designs and manufactures Enoxadin, a drug that coats the inner walls of arteries and prevents heart attacks and strokes. The medicine, taken by everyone over 20 years old, works wonders for decades until it interacts with a new virus and starts killing the population it's meant to protect.

Brent, a scientist from the future, journeys to the past to find four teenagers and warn them of what will befall an unsuspecting populace. Armageddon is coming, and failure isn't an option - these young adults have to find a way to save the lives of billions, rescuing them from a horrific and unanticipated disaster.

Ordinary young people with a surprising mission race against time in The Traveler's Secret, the first volume in The Traveler series, by Dr. L. Jan Eira. Fast-paced, with multiple twists and surprises, this young adult fantasy novel is full of heart and suspense.

Better than I expected!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, if they like time travel stories.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Traveler's Secret?

Probably the part where the twins still existed when their mother was dead.

Which scene was your favorite?

There were so many, but one was when they realized that the 3 men weren't dead, and they could no longer charge the kids with murder.

Another was whenever the albino girl showed up, she'd talk in that eerie voice.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The ending. It left it open to where I'm anxious to see what happens in the next book!

Any additional comments?

Much better than I thought it would be, and the narrator was pretty good too.

I need book two....Now!

The Travellers Secret by Jan Eira is book one of The Travellers Series. My first question after this book was 'when is the next book out??'

It starts with four teenagers hanging out before something unexpected happens leading the four youngsters on a journey to try and destroy Enoxadin a pharmaceutical drug that will prevent heart attacks. This drug sounds great until it interacts with a new virus that starts to kill the earths population So its up to the future and the past to come together to prevent Enoxadin from being manufactured. Can they do it?

I listened to this book on audio and Roberto Scarlato does an amazing job on bringing the characters of the story to life, they all have their own distinctive voices that makes it easier for you to know who is who, especially when they meet their future selves. He also adds depth to the book that I don't think would be there without him narrating the story. So if you have a chance pick up the audio version of this book. You won't regret it, I promise.

This is a fast paced book with many twists and turns that will you on the edge of your seat. I gasped out loud many times during this book, especially with events near the end. I have to go now and I desperately need to find out about book two and find out what happens next.
