About this listen

(2024 re-release!!)

A full year of blood and tears has passed for Adrian Ring. As the dead remain hateful, the living are more desperate than ever: winter approaches and supplies are dwindling. Meanwhile, the conflict with the monsters at the Factory is reaching a boiling point. But Adrian won't have to fight alone. Kevin and Michelle, his unwitting compatriots in the scheme to save the world, are following signs and portents to make their way to a hero they don't yet know. To meet them, Adrian will have to weather treachery, starvation, violent attacks… and perhaps worst of all, the temptation of an easy way out. The Trinity, the seventh book of Adrian's Undead Diary, splits the world wide open.

The inner workings of good and evil, and what happened on 'that day' in Washington D.C, will finally be revealed. The endgame begins. The Trinity contains Adrian's diary entries from September 2nd, 2011 to December 22nd, 2011. It's also the home for the side fictions White Blood Cell, The Factory, Dreams of a Dying Man, The Road to Bastion, and A Stranger Among Us.

AUD series is excellent. I know if you’re reading this chances are you’ve read the first seven books. But if you haven’t start with the box set they offer. Buy the time you get through the set you’ll be hooked.
Excellent writing. Great storyline. Great narration.

The books keep getting better.

Ok the title is bait, the story continues. The religion aspect of this series is a little under explored. The first couple of books was just a fun romp, the religious/philosophical aspects added for depth are interesting if not as deeply explored as they should or could be. For someone who’s read a lot of morale philosophy and many major religious texts, I found the Michelle character distinctly uninteresting and uninspiring. With her background, I feel she’d ask faaaaaar more questions. Furthermore the criticism of why humanity is being judged at that point is soft. It’s been over a hundred years since we killed god even in the books timeline. I wish the why would have been explored more, to me the Michelle character would have been good for this. It would have added depth and made the judgment and what needs doing for redemption more impactful and clear. Overall a good story and still fun but treading into philosophy/religion has left a hole in the plot.

*SPOILERS I finished the series and the questions are never truly addressed so be warned

A fitting end….maybe

Can't get enough

Confusing to follow storyline. Kept jumping timeline for different characters. Would have been better to stick to one timeline for all characters instead of finishing one characters story then jump back months to tell another characters side of the same story or in a completely different story of the same time frame. It was a different editor whom doesn’t know how to insert new writings into a chapter but starts while new chapter
