About this listen

If everyone is looking to secure a relationship with their perceived best option, then the perception of value must be at the heart of human coupling. In this groundbreaking work, psychologist Orion Taraban sets forth his economic model of relationships and exposes the often uncomfortable laws that govern the sexual marketplace. After listening to "The Value of Others," you'll never look at relationships the same way again.

Brings clarity and fresh perspectives to a very messy human problem. Will also buy the paperback not only to support him but also to annotate and take notes. The author also has a YouTube channel called Psyhacks with amazing info

Incredible insights and mental models

Orion continues to scratch my itch for understanding the inner workings of others and myself. As a young romantic, a lot of it is a hard pill to swallow. I’m only grateful that I’m open minded enough to do so and I pray that more people in my generation will begin to be able to as well.

Devastatingly accurate knowledge

Excellent book. Very informative re interpersonal relationships and sexual relationships specific. The topics discussed are the things everybody knows are there and drive relationships, but nobody ever talks about, at least not in such a honest, logically sound and well explained manner. Great job.

Excellent book!

I don't want this to be true, but it is. Unconfortable truth hurts, but I can't disaggree it is all factual.

undeniable logic without gender bias

Very good high level and broad concepts. Narration was excellent. I personally was hoping for something less broad and more specific. There was not a lot that you could take action based off of. I enjoyed the ship, captain passenger analogy but again not much actionable advice. Please write another book but get specific on how to improve one’s position in the SM.

Excellent narration but very broad

Full of nonsense so much nonsense more nonsense then I can stand. And for the 15 word min nonsense nonsense nonsense and I at the stupid word count yet?

Just full of nonsense

It’s a must read but he is making a broad generalization. In real everyday life, I am seeing standard deviation from his arguments rather too often but I would still recommend this book

Insightful read

With a different perspective and approach to mating and dating, I gained the most value from this book about relationships than any other relationship book I’ve read.

Best Relationship Book I’ve Read
