Incredible insights and mental models

Brings clarity and fresh perspectives to a very messy human problem. Will also buy the paperback not only to support him but also to annotate and take notes. The author also has a YouTube channel called Psyhacks with amazing info

Devastatingly accurate knowledge

Orion continues to scratch my itch for understanding the inner workings of others and myself. As a young romantic, a lot of it is a hard pill to swallow. I’m only grateful that I’m open minded enough to do so and I pray that more people in my generation will begin to be able to as well.

Excellent book!

Excellent book. Very informative re interpersonal relationships and sexual relationships specific. The topics discussed are the things everybody knows are there and drive relationships, but nobody ever talks about, at least not in such a honest, logically sound and well explained manner. Great job.

undeniable logic without gender bias

I don't want this to be true, but it is. Unconfortable truth hurts, but I can't disaggree it is all factual.

Refreshing perspective on dynamics of relationships

Realistic & relevant way of diagnosing modern relationships , covering both the psychology and economic considerations from both men and women’s perspectives. Great use of analogies!

Excellent narration but very broad

Very good high level and broad concepts. Narration was excellent. I personally was hoping for something less broad and more specific. There was not a lot that you could take action based off of. I enjoyed the ship, captain passenger analogy but again not much actionable advice. Please write another book but get specific on how to improve one’s position in the SM.

Interesting, Thought-provoking, Uncompromising

I recommend you pick this up; it’s a great addition to the library of people with growth mindsets. Prepare yourself for a number of challenges to conventional ideas in heterosexual relationships. I especially liked the economic framing; while demonstrating the overall correctness of the model, it also helped remove some of the emotional sting of challenges to ideas I held dear (some of which I can’t say I had ever articulated to myself consciously until challenged by this model).

I came to this book from the author’s YouTube channel, and while a few of the examples or explanations were familiar, it was indeed mostly new content.

The narration is excellent.

The downside of consuming this book via audio is the same as other efficient and/or technical non-fiction books. It’s dense so temporarily getting lost or missing a point is possible, and visual aids are not practically accessible in this format. I found this to be a minor issue, and should not deter you from picking up the audiobook.

I will re-listen to this in the future, and pick up a physical copy.

I hope this book helps ‘clear the fog’ for you as much as it did me. Cheers!

Must listen! Wish I could have years ago…

This is a wonderful book. I will likely listen a 2nd time (or 3rd)…
So much information. I only wish I was able to hear all of this 10 years ago!
Everything he discussed, I was able to confirm within my own personal relationships or having seen it play out in relationships of those close to me. One of the most valuable pieces of the book, for me, is realizing that this is how things are and no longer having to question or ask myself “why”…to understand that some actions and reactions are just the way it is within relationships/attraction, is a relief in itself.
Take notes along the way!
Thank you Orion!

Essential

Incredibly well articulated thesis of the contemporary dating and sexual marketplace. Super interesting, thought provoking and somewhat disconcerting simultaneously.
