getting better

I actually enjoyed it better than the first two books. I think I came to like Anna the head strong sometimes too quick to judge, vampire/bounty hunter ex English teacher. I was pleasantly surprised by the appearance of "Casper" her semi-guardian angel-like being showing himself. Boy was he NOT what I imagined, and was a good surprise. Unfortunately though even with that surprising reveal, nothing of substance about Casper was made clear. I hope we would know more soon.

Wonderful series and narrator

I've now listened to the first 6 books of the Anna Strong series and have thoroughly enjoyed them all. Each one is a new adventure and Dina Pearlman never fails to bring the characters to life and keep you enthralled. On more than one occasion I was tempted to take my Ipod into the car to listen on the way to work. I highly recommend them all.

Great new series

I love books about vampires, it was so interesting to get a new take on vampires in general. The society of socially elite vampires have a way of during things. Then comes Anna, who does everything but follow the rules. They may want to influence her behavior but it just isn't going to happen.

3rd person

I like the Anna Strong series, but I wish it was written or read more in first person.

wise up Anna

Well I think the series is pretty good but I also think Anna as with a lot of lead characters of most books is pretty stupid. She seems to have little common sense some of which is understandable because of the lack of trust, which is also understandable. She knows she doesn't know anything about her new life but still refuses to find out more about it. Three books now and she still hasn't learned to erase someone's mind like the others did in the first book.

Not so good this time

The “Voice” of Ana doesn’t jive with the rest of the series
She still does the wise cracks and all. But, her internal dialogue threw me off.

Is this a reversed George Sands?

It has been a male perspective that women are so emotional that they cannot think logically or rationally. I was so appalled at having Anna Strong unable to deduce that paying no attention to the biggest threat in the room when she could have neutralized that threat in oh say 3 seconds, that I just quit this book, and this author and series too. Dina Pearlman does a good job, but don't bother with this audio (or print) book unless you have a high tolerence stereotypical female characters. Freud lives!!
