Publisher's summary

THE WICKED AFTERMATH is an emotionally gripping story of love, loss, and hope, with a rich and entrancing happily ever after. All Wicked novels may be enjoyed as standalone romances.

When the person you blame for your grief is the only one who can save you from the pain...

Tank Wicked lost his sister and has since vowed to save everyone else in his path. He lives by the creed of the Dark Knights motorcycle club, sworn to protect and respect his community. He selflessly saves lives as a volunteer firefighter and treats the men and women who work for him at his tattoo shop like family. But life isn’t a balance scale where good deeds negate bad things to come, and one foggy night life guts Tank once again. When a car careens over the side of a bridge and into a river, Tank springs into action, plunging into the water to rescue the passengers. Four people go into the river, but only three come out alive.

Leah Yates is just trying to make it through each day. When the man she blames for her grief becomes the only one who can pull her from the depths of despair, she discovers that even hope comes at a price. Maybe this time she won't have to face it alone.

****

Set on the sandy shores of Cape Cod, the Wickeds feature fiercely protective heroes, strong heroines, and unbreakable family bonds. If you think bikers are all the same, you haven't met the Dark Knights. The Dark Knights are a motorcycle club, not a gang. Their members stick together like family and will stop at nothing to keep their communities safe. Some of the Wickeds’ love stories will be hilariously fun and deeply emotional, others will tear at your heartstrings and include injections of humor, but they will all leave you wishing you could climb into the story and join them.

Beautiful and gut wrenching!

The Wicked Aftermath is book two of 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑾𝒊𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒅𝒔: 𝑫𝒂𝒓𝒌 𝑲𝒏𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔 𝑨𝒕 𝑩𝒂𝒚𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆 series of interconnected standalones. This is one of the most heart wrenching and beautiful stories I have ever read! Everyone deserves to have a Tank in their life…also the Wicked family! Tank is gruff, caring, and built like a tank! No one and nothing is more important to him than his family. Leah is so strong especially after everything she has gone through. She needed Tank just as much as he needed her and her girls. They share many things in common, including their grief. I loved that the Wicked family pulled together and was there for Leah and the girls. She found a true family with them! This was a beautiful story about loss, grief, love, and finding your way through it all. This book broke me and then pieced me back together with many tears. It really makes me thankful for who I have in my life and be grateful for every moment I get to spend with them. This is one book that I will be rereading and I can’t wait to read more about the Wicked family!

Jennifer Mack and Aiden Snow both did an amazing job of bringing Tank and Leah to life for me. I could feel their emotions and it was beautiful but also had me sobbing at times. This audio is a must!

OMFG Goodness!

Running on Diesel is just on the next level of OMFG Goodness!
Lordy! I was pulled in by its intoxicating storyline with a sexy as-heck biker twist!!
I was basically in a Diesel haze. So, I binged on the audiobook!
From start to finish, there was no putting it down. Nope! Sleep! What’s that?
Since you know who needs sleep when you can listen to Diesel’s audiobook! LOL

It was so worth every bit of it!!! Perfection Baby!
Plus the narration by Jennifer Mack and Aiden Snow is off the chains good!

Emotional, funny, so full of life

I’ve read the book before but the audiobook gave it more life. I loved this book so much. I forgot how emotional it is.

The narrators outdid themselves. I loved these two as the characters.

A story of grief, family, starting over and turning a hard sully grown man fall for a sweet soft young woman.

Melissa Foster has a great way of telling stories of brotherhood, family and second chances at life. We often don’t get this.

I’m looking forward to more audiobooks from this author. The audiobook was just magical for me.

Love love love.

Forever love found after heartbreak.

The Wicked Aftermath by Melissa Foster has the biggest range of emotions I have ever experienced in a romance book. Tank and Leah’s story absolutely touched my soul. Both Leah and Tank have experienced the absolute worst of emotional and quite frankly, life altering events. I was absolutely gutted by these events and then watched how the author put Tank and Leah back together along with myself as well. The entire cast of The Wicked Aftermath were so well developed and heartfelt, they are amazing. Leah’s two little girls absolutely stole Tank’s heart and mine too! The emotion and passion just flew off the pages with this story. Melissa Foster is a master at emotional, funny, sexy, and quite steamy stories. Her characters are smart, funny, handsome, beautiful (inside and out), and very sexy. Melissa’s heroes are sexy, handsome alpha’s with the masterful ability to talk dirty in the most sexy way. Now, let’s talk audiobook!! I recently purchased the newly re-narrated version of The Wicked Aftermath by Aiden Snow and Jennifer Mack. I couldn’t buy this new version fast enough because Aiden Snow is one of my absolute favorite male narrators. Aiden is so perfect for the part of Tank Wicked. His voice is deep, s*xy, and will raise the hairs on the back of your neck when talking dirty into your ear. Mmmm…..scrumptious!! Jennifer Mack brings Leah to life so perfectly. Like I said earlier the emotion and passion just flew off the pages now, imagine Aiden Snow and Jennifer Mack brings all that emotion and passion to life in your ears! They are so perfect for Tank and Leah. Completely recommend The Wicked Aftermath by Melissa Foster. *****

One of the best audiobooks I've EVER listened to!

If audiobook narration was an Olympic sport, Aiden Snow and Jennifer Mack would win the gold! 🥇

Their narration was out of this world. Seriously, cannot be topped. This book was already top tier. The new version audiobook is in another universe. The emotion was gut wrenching but beautiful. Tank and Leah will forever hold a special place in my heart.

The narration of Rosie and Junie …I have no words for how awesome it was. I laughed. I cried. I swooned. We were put through so many emotions but healing after tragedy stood out the most to me. No one deserved an HEA more than Tank and Leah

This is an absolute MUST LISTEN! 🎧

Beautiful and emotional ride!

I have both read and listed to the audio version of this one. After listening to it I honestly had forgotten just how raw this story was. Hearing it read, by these two fantastic narrators brought even more to the book. You spend the entire book on an emotional roller coaster but you it's such a beautiful story you can't stop listening. Tank is so sweet and sexy and how he treats and Leah and the girls makes you swoon. Listening to this one made me want to go back and listen to the rest of the series. So much heart and emotion in all of Melissa's books but this one truly is one of my favorites. Listening gave me an even better view of the story. The narrators were so good, it just added to the overall enjoyment of the book.

Holy Moly! I’m in Love with Tank and Leah

This series has been on my TBR so I have to go back and read the rest of the books. But, holy moly I completely fell in love with Tank and Leah. I’m not usually a crier but this book pushed my buttons. It definitely took me on a roller coaster ride. Right from the beginning of this story it packs a punch. A plot twist that turns the path of this story. Benson “Tank” Wicked is a volunteer firefighter, owns a tattoo shop, and a member of The Dark Knights MMC. He broody, closed off, filled with pain but would do anything to help people in need. Leah is quite, reserved, has this hidden inner strength, and has a past that no one knows about. Little did they know that their past, and present would connect them in more ways than one. I loved how Tank from day one was there for Leah. He identified with her, her pain, her loss. They brought out the best in each other even through heartache. And, through all of that the chemistry that developed was so hot. I loved to see them grow individually and as a possible couple. The audiobook was a recast for the male narrator. Aiden Snow and Jennifer Mack were Leah and Tank. The embodiment, emotions, and characterizations from these two was just perfect. So touching, moving but yet they brought it when they needed to. Great listen

My Thoughts on The Wicked Aftermath

This book is definitely a gut punch at times. It hit hard with the emotions brought on from the loss the characters had suffered and grief they were feeling. But it felt real and genuine and was handled with delicacy in the story telling. I also appreciated the way the romance was woven in and how Tank and Leah slowly worked their way to a relationship as they both healed. I loved how Tank was always considerate of Leah as a mom. And how he didn’t get defensive or angry when she had her harder moments. In short, I loved Tank. But the story as a whole was just amazing right down to the narration and the truly excellent performance given by both narrators.

Heartwrenching

Emotionally gripping doesn't even begin to describe this book. All I can say is keep the tissues handy because you will need them. It starts in Chapter 1 and continues all the way through the book until the end. If you are looking for a tearjerker book this is the one to read. So much loss and turmoil in this book.

Now that I have scared you, let me tell you about Junie (aka Juju or Twitch) and Rosie (aka Cheeky). They are the cutest little girls ever. Even with everything they've had to deal with in their short lived lives, they give meaning to life and keep everyone happy and moving forward.

Tank was a surprise for me. I know all of the Wicked men are incredible, but what biker man would want to inherit an emotionally devastated girlfriend and 2 little munchkins, especially since they aren't even Leah's children. She adopted them. Yet he stuck with her through everything and went above and beyond with her and the girls. What an amazing man. He finally found meaning for his life after losing his sister.

Ms Foster, you broke my heart more than once in this book. And yet, I was so happy with the ending and even the middle. There is so much love in the Wicked family. I want to be a member or be adopted by them.

Aiden Snow embodies Tank Wicked with his deep, gruff, growly, alpha, biker voice. Jennifer Mack is fairly new to me. I enjoyed her portrayal of Leah, with her grief, anger and vulnerability.
