About this listen

One fatal crash. Two colliding worlds. Three wrecked lives.

School teacher Ben is driving on the motorway, on his usual commute to work.

A day like any other....

Except for one man who, in a final despairing act, jumps in front of Ben's car, turning the teacher's world upside down in a single horrifying instant....

Wracked with guilt and desperate to clear his conscience, he develops a friendship with Alice, the dead man's wife, and her seven-year-old son Max.

But as he tries to escape the trauma of the wreckage, could he go too far in trying to make amends?

How would you cope, knowing you'd caused someone's death?

Overall, this wasn’t bad. The story kept me interested and the narrators were very good. Kind of a weak ending, but it was ok.

Bloody brilliant! Another hidden gem! This British psychological thriller is perfectly penned by Robin Morgan-Bentley. Narrators Emilia Fox, Jack Hawkins and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith compliment each other to bring us an intricate and deviously enjoyable listen. What can I say? Delusional! Suspicions! Obsession! It kept me consistently listening. Alice and her son Max are precisely brought to vivid life with heartfelt emotions, frightening happenings and a shocker of a jaw-dropping ending I never saw coming. From the first line throughout, I was immediately hooked and found it hard to take a break. May I have more please? Worth a credit? Most definitely! However, I lucked out and bought this during an awesome Audible sale for a less than $3. I can’t recommend this audiobook enough. I’m on my rooftop again screaming, “Epic, I say! EPIC!”

Compelling first offering from @rmorganbentley. Thought the alternating perspectives quickly painted a dynamic picture of who these people are. I was WAY off base. Eager to find out where this was going, I finished in one sitting. Well done, sir. Stellar performances too.

Hard to stop listening to this vividly rendered debut psychological thriller by Robin Morgan-Bentley. The writing is brilliant, the narration superb. You’ll want to find out where this story is headed after the dazzling, disturbing start. I’m already hoping for another one from this author.

Brilliant Writing, A Spectacular Debut!

A long tortuous story with no ending. Really ?? British accents and phrases were the most entertaining part of the story. Won’t read any more by THIS author
