About this listen

Bailey and Chloe head back on the road, where they come across strange markings belonging to a group intent on bloodshed and abduction. With this heinous enemy lurking in the shadows, they seek help in new and old friends along the way. When they arrive at Hargrove, nothing is what it seems inside the makeshift, post-apocalyptic community. People are turning up dead, and for once, zombies aren't the ones to blame. Fingers are pointed, everyone is a suspect, and no one is safe outside or inside these walls.

Critic reviews

"Iverson is really a good writer... I love all kinds of zombie themed books, if they are done right. And this one is done right." (Boundless Book Reviews)

ND Iverson doesn't disappoint

This a solid author who writes good books. I only rated this book a four because some parts were a little too far-fetched but that is more a taste choice than probably the writing. It wasn't disappointing but the first book was really good so my expectations were really high.

Waiting for book 3

Great read/listen! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one in this series. The narrator grew on me so I was able to get past her voice.
If you want a good tale that includes zombies then this is your book!

Better than the First

This book was better than the first, the personalities of each character was a little more fleshed out and we got to see more of the relationships. But I still feel there was more telling than showing.

Narrator was also better!

There were a few mistakes I noticed, mixing up of names and voices of who was going what. Specifically when Collin/Darren had swung at a zombie’s face and it said Collin did it but Collin said it was rad that Darren did it. Didn’t happen often but was a little odd when it did.

Overall I liked it, the murder mystery was fun to follow along and I really had thought it was one character and not the one it turned out to be so kudos to the author for keeping that behind the curtain until the reveal!

getting better

the first book was good - this one had more chew your nails moments.

The narrator has gotten better about distinguishing the voices - that or I just got used to it. lol

I've really enjoyed both books so far & wished the 3rd was ready to go. I finished both in 4 days.

Awesome Series

Love this series. Finished Book 2 but I’m so disappointed that Book 3 isn’t on Audible.

It was allright

Maybe good for new readers to this genre. I think it was a bit cliché and tame. And really y’all, I’m not sure why all southerners must speak with an accent like Colonel Sanders. Being southern I find such a cliche downright insultin’.
The tone of the narrator seemed a bit flippant and lighthearted despite the nature of the storyline.

Better than Book 1

I was unsure about continuing due to narration in book 1. The narration seemed better in this book. There were still some moments I cringed at the out of place tone but overall it wasn't a distraction like in book 1. The story had some interesting plot twists in book 2 and I thought the last line of book 2 was a good choice for a cliff hanger.
