About this listen

Hallie has a secret. She's in love. He's perfect for her in every way, but he's seriously out of bounds. And her friends aren't going to help her, because what they do know is that Hallie doesn't have long to live. Time is running out.

Flo has a dilemma. She really likes Zander. But his scary sister won't be even faintly amused if she thinks Zander and Flo are becoming friends - let alone anything more. Tasha has a problem. Her new boyfriend is the adventurous type. And she's afraid one of his adventures will go badly wrong.

Three Amazing Things About You begins as Hallie goes on a journey. A donor has been found, and she's about to be given new lungs. But whose?

"[Jill Mansell] creates characters that I root for and that are so realistic, I feel I could bump into them in my local pub." (Novelicious)

This was a moving story with a good message.

It was a bit disjointed at the start but the different characters and their roles were eventually brought together to create an interesting and engaging story.

A Beautiful Story

As an American, I loved the narrator's accent. I did struggle a bit when the storyline changed over to one of the other main lines as there wasn't a significant (to me) change in voice per character.

That said, the book was well written and it didn't ever take long for me to pick up on which of the three storylines we were on.

This story brought tears to my eyes on a few occasions as well as a couple cries. All of the characters are heart grabbers and you can't help but invest in them. Even Lena, eventually.

Definitely recommend this book. I have read thousands of books, listened to hundreds and have only been moved enough by a rare few to leave a review. You won't be disappointed.

Cozy reading, phenomenal performance!

This is book presents an enchanting character ensemble, and while I could argue that it went on for too long, I did enjoy hearing everyone's story. The characters felt real, although the narrative never dug too deep into their personalities. Most were pleasant and interesting enough to capture my attention and to ensure that I wanted to root for them. That in itself is quite and achievement, especially for such a large cast.

The audio performance was brilliant - bringing to life such a numerous bunch of characters and giving them all a unique voice is no small feat, but Heather Wilds manages it perfectly, smoothly transitioning from one to the other with clarity and consistency that simply boggles the mind! One of the most impressive book performances I've ever heard.

Loved it, loved it, loved it!

The book itself was a great read, and I absolutely love the title and the column it was about. How it came out in the story was well written (and absolutely adorable.) L.ooking forward to more from this author.

Emotional

Lovely story about the family you make along the road of life. It's not my favorite type of book only because I don't enjoy being put through the emotional ringer BUT I very, very much enjoyed the wonderful dialog, Full of laugh out loud humor, heart-wrenching sorrow and swoon worthy true love matches.

Love thos author, this one not for me

I am in the minority, but this book made me kind of mad. There were about 4 people I would want to know. The rest should just stop talking. Just because you are family or a friend doesn't give you the right to say any mean thing that enters your mind and think it's okay. Hallies friends and family are actually awful. Well meaning, but mostly awful. Having CF doesn't mean you're immune to harsh words. At the age of 28, no matter how I'll she is her mother needs to step back. I honestly hated some of these horrible people. Bea, Hallies best friend...she is the reason for the old adage "with friends like these who needs enemies". Honestly ugh. Loved the concept and how everyone's stories were intertwined, but some of the people just...nope.
