About this listen

Internationally best-selling author Jill Mansell weaves a heartwarming tale of love, family, and friendship in her latest novel.

A brief encounter that could have become so much more...if only everything were different.

Step-sisters, bitter rivals in every area except one - by unbreakable pact neither will ever steal a man from the other.

A love triangle that starts out as a mess of secrets and mix-ups, and only gets worse from there. Plus - friendship, family ties, crossed wires and self-discovery, second chances and first impressions. Welcome to Jill Mansell's blustery seaside world. Once you step inside, you'll never want to leave!

All I want is for Sam to end up with the right girl which takes the whole book (of course). And Belle dumped him because she’s a lesbian? Didn’t see that coming. Such a witch of a stepsister. So dramatic and demanding. Sam should’ve broken up with her before spoiling her for her birthday. And letting her take her gf to Venice?! I guess he’s the better man and Clem scored in the end.

A bit of a letdown

Jill Mansell is quickly becoming my new favorite author. I love the way she weaves multiple love stories into one happy ending for all.

Another great story!

I have read or listened to (or both) every one of Jill Mansell's books & I've liked nearly all of them. This one, however, was not worth the credit. It was boring & predictable. And while I don't have an issue with having a gay character in the story, the lesbian love affair seemed forced & thrown in for some kind of interest (which failed miserably).

Really disappointing & I won't be rushing to get the next one!

Couldn't wait for it to be over!
