About this listen

A search for answers. A search for power. A recipe for dreadful things to come.

Following the harrowing events of her kidnapping, Nell is left craving answers more than ever. There's only one person she knows who possesses the answers she needs. On her 15th birthday, with the help of one silver-eyed Void traveler, Nell is ready to find her mother at last, to get the clarity and truth she's been looking for all these years.

Meanwhile, Tessie must also deal with the aftermath of Nell's kidnapping—an attack which left her forever changed and struggling to cope. Powerless and afraid, Tessie turns to the only security she has left...a security which may ultimately put her in more danger than ever before.

The Void Sucks You In

Excellent series with definite influences from different sci-fi/horror stories painting different types of stories despite having the same characters that you care about running through arcs that matter. Each of these books regardless of characters you follow and grow with feels like a new take and different style of horror. Possible guesses on some influences are The Thing, Invaders from Mars, Starship Troopers, Hellboy and HP Lovecraft for starters. They keep impressing as these influences are twisted and formed into new and horrible directions which are super entertaining for a rabid fan of the genre. I agree that I wish books 6-8 of The Dread Void series were on Audible as well as they're an excellent addition to my commute. However I'll have to wait and see i guess but in the meantime I'm looking forward to seeing what else Abe brings to the table in his stand alone novels. Thanks for being who you are Abe!

Excellent series

Great story so far, disappointed that book 6 7 and 8 are not on audible yet. Narrator is excellent, looking forward to the rest of the series.
