"FANTASTIC"

What a book this turned out to be. From the moment I started this book I was instantly pulled into the story and went on a fantastic ride. Narration is perfect and really sucks you into the story. Just plain epic the book is. Awesome job to the author and Narrator. So happy I was able to listen to this Audio book.

love this author and narrator

this story was great but so slow in some parts I feel. I loved the horor in the woods for example. non stop leading to the craziest ending. That one totally shocked me and made me stop what I was doing while listening. his other books seemed to move on more smoothly as well. I have a feeling this will lead into the next books equally well as the others. I can't get enough. he gets me through work every day. can't say much besides he needs to write a lot faster cuz I'm running outta books from him!!!

Narrator

The narrators voice selections were on point! This is like the 10th audiobook I've bought because of how well done he narrates!

Monster Hunters!

A fun read with an interesting storyline. The story begins with Jack’s loss and revenge. A bit gory but that comes with violent death. Read it in the dark to advance the atmosphere. The book is a fantasy action and adventure. I don’t mind the narrator but understand it isn’t to everyone’s taste. He does a good job. But. I can’t help but wonder what RC Bray would do to this story!

Bloodborne vibes

I saw an ad on Facebook saying “if you like the game bloodborne try this” I ignored the ad a few times but I eventually got curious and tried it, I am so glad I did. A great story, plenty of mystery, gore, and horror elements. I listened to it to and from work each day and it made my long drive something to look forward to. Give it a try!

Another promising series!

I would highly recommend this book to any fans of true horror. From suspense to disgustingly fantastic descriptions of entities beyond our understanding. Unsurprisingly, I was not let down and look forward to continue on this journey.

Also, yet again Hannibal Hills is the absolute best narrator! Truly a match made in horror!

Loved it

Lee Mountford's Darkfall is a gruesome, action packed, adventure not for the faint of heart. It's the 1880's in Great Britain...amd while the general populace might not know it, the things that go bump in the night are real...and should very much be feared. The opening is teased out...in which we slowly get the idea that things are not as they seem, that something is wrong, we get introduced to a number of characters, but most notably Jack and his son Samuel, who unfortunately get pulled into the appearance of our first creature, getting caught up in a graphic and bloody battle, with a horrific ending. Sadly Jack learns there is more to the world than he ever imagined and ends up getting initiated into the Dearborn, a group a men with the sole mission to destroy these creatures of darkness. As I said it's action packed, quite graphic, and I thought it felt a bit Lovecraft-esque. Definitely a fun read if you have the stomach for it, lol. Hannibal Hills narration is excellent, as his voice seems perfectly matched for the genre.

Darkfall

This was good. A witch is using a creature to animate a monster. The 'Deathborn' are tasked with dealing with the witch. The witches sister is kidnapped to help find her. There was a lot of shout talking by the head poohbah that kind of put me off.Every other sentence was 'if you don't do what I say I will cut' you' kind of thing. Hannibal Hills was a wonderful narrator. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
