Publisher's summary

A Missing Ferryman. An Undead Dilemma. An Immortal Detective.

An emissary from the Dark Council has just materialized in the office of the Montague & Strong Detective Agency, and makes Simon Strong an offer he can't refuse. Charon is missing. The legendary ferryman responsible for transporting sorcerer souls across the river Styx hasn't been seen in days. And with each passing hour, those unable to cross the river are left to walk among the living, tilting the world further out of balance.

Meet Simon Strong, an immortal, who is also the best private detective in New York City. Together with his surly partner Tristan Montague, a mage of indeterminate age, they must find the Ferryman and get him back to work before another Supernatural War ravages the earth, destroys humanity, and Simon's local coffee shop.

Time is running out. His landlord wants the rent and Karma with a capital K is paying him a visit, and she can be a real....

Join the Montague & Strong Detective Agency and help them locate Charon, so he can restore balance to the universe, put the dead sorcerers to rest, and maybe solve the age-old conundrum - coffee or tea?

Magic, Gods, and, Creatures!

Tombyards & Butterflies by Orlando A Sanchez and narrated by Kevin T Collins is a great fantasy read with lots of gods, creatures, and magic! Plenty of action, friendship, evil, magic, spells, different gods, and unpredictable situations kept this book going at a good clip! Great dialogue, witty, and clever writing, and an excellent plot!
Narration was excellent too! Can't wait for the next book!

Another great Paranormal Detective story

Loved the tone and pace of this tale. So much like Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files, any one of his fans would be pleased. This story even has little shout outs to Jim.
Hope there is more from Mr Sanchez

GOOD SERIES.

Interesting. Well written and performed. Orlando A Sanchez is new to me. I am glad I gave this book a try. The plot was interesting and the story flows smoothly. Kevin T Collins narration/performance was excellent. He brought the characters to life. Most enjoyable and I am looking forward to more books on this series.

Hades, Chaos and Peaches

I enjoyed the magical mayhem and sacastic humor. Monty and Simon roll with the punches.

Enjoyable adventure, good narration.

I really enjoyed this story, there was something for everyone. Immortals, magic, a cute hell hound named Peaches, a vampire who’s allergic to blood, friends who help and a family of choice. Karma can be a real B but she can be really helpful too.

I didn't hate it.

I struggled to finish this. The action idms fine but the characters are inconsistent, except they all say "And besides" like a million times. Simon is the kind of guy women work hard to avoid - full of bravado and at the same time, not nearly as quick as he thinks he is. Too much mouth and too little to back it up. It's not as entertaining as he thinks.

I liked the reader and this had that going for it, but the story itself had a few too many holes for me to want to jump into the next book.

I think it could benefit from an editor. Grab it for a quick read but it falls short of "Dresden Lite."

Sucked me in the first few page

Funny, action, and a storyline that kept me engaged. Audio performance good but you could hear the times where he paused and took a breath. Very minimal but noticeable and distracting. Other than that I think any who would get this book will enjoy it tremendously.

Action Packed, Humorous Excellent Book and Series

I bought this audible book not really expecting much but wanted a change from my usual mystery fare. I did indeed buy something different but also something wonderful. I loved the heros and their interactions with their friends, cohorts and enemies. It is an exciting, wild ride excellently written and narrated. The heros are loyal and likeable, the villains scary and formidable. It is a fast paced fantasy that I didn't want to end. I went to sleep listening to the series many times (I'm ill and bedridden right now) so have re-listened to the books numerous times yet I still enjoy them. This is one of the best series in any genre that I have read in a long time. I can't wait for the next audible book in the series to be released.

A Hellhound Named Peaches?!

This book is not only comical, but it's very well written. If you want a book that will keep you laughing page after page, and will make you forget the world around you for awhile, join Simon, Monty, their new 'gift' from Hades, and other characters in their tribe as they become objects of destruction. Somehow with all the magic and mayhem this book is still down to Earth and although not reality, it's relatively easy to imagine this being real. I often read book one of a series and don't bother to continue with the rest. This series, however, I already expect to be a new favorite.
