A lethal mercenary bent on vengeance. The innocent woman standing in his way.

Dr. Sara Cobakis's quiet suburban life is turned upside down when a darkly handsome Russian assassin breaks into her home and tortures her for information. But the nightmare doesn't end there.

Because Peter Sokolov returns, and this time, he's determined to keep the pretty young doctor for himself.

No matter what it takes.

Don't miss this twisted, intensely addictive dark romance that listeners can't stop obsessing over.

I really enjoyed this series. Peter was my favorite character in this series. yes he was obsessed with Sarah but he loved her with everything in him, he cherished her, pampered, and eliminated her stress. He gave up his vengeance on the guy who killed his first wife and son to give Sarah the life she wanted. Sarah made me sick, now I understood she would feel angry and ashamed for sleeping with Peter the first time, but she kept sleeping with him and annoyingly kept saying "I slept with my husband's killer, who drugged me, and tortured me." whine, whine whine. I got to escape. whine, whine but continued sleeping with him. She just pissed me off.
The narrator's: Sebastian York was great as always, but in this series he should've just spoken without the accent. Tracy Marks , I don't know if she's on oxygen or has asthma but she always had puffs of air after speaking. smh. But other than that this was worth the credit.

Peter was my favorite...

The first time I read Stockholm Syndrome Romance was the Twist Me Series by Anna Zaires, and in this series we catch up on Julian and Nora, Lucas and Yulia (from Capture Me), and now closed-off Russian assassin, spy, and former guard Peter Sokolov falls head over heels for his Doctor Sara after he takes her breath away (literally).
This series takes us on a journey over the world and shows Peter as Sara’s Tormentor, kidnapper, to loving husband and father. A roller coast ride that balances dangerous men, a dark obsession, and an even darker love, written and narrated with so much passion and skill, you can’t but respect the characters and the lengths they will go through for a life together.

Anna Zaire’s at what she does best

The story was very interesting, unique. Sebastian York was awesome, as expected. However, Tracy Marks’ narration seemed robotic. I think it distracted from the storyline. Disappointing, but I wanted to hear the story and had already paid for the audiobook. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Long, interesting, unique, convoluted story

The book is okay, the male narrator was excellent but the female narrator was HORRIBLE!!!!! OMG, make her stop!!!!!

The female narrator 😱

This series was very well written. Usually after I read a dark romance, I come out thinking of all the things it lacked and the lack of interaction overall between the main characters. Usually the author will write what the character is thinking instead of writing more interaction between the main characters so it leaves a void of many things that should be said between them to give the main characters more depth and relationship build-up.
That is not the case here. I did not feel that the characters relationship was not believable. So far, this is my favorite dark romance series and I have read many. The story is full of details and great character development. I love how it ties in with the characters from Twist Me. Definitely will re-read this story and I highly recommend it.

My favorite dark romance so far!

I am not even finished with the first book and it’s making my really sad to post this review so soon…. And keep in mind I find Sebastian York’s voice, as a narrator of epic romance novels, in general, incredible.

BUT…. What kind of producer decided “Hey! Let’s simultaneously make the poor decision to try to embrace the Eastern European MC’s accent from the book, and embarrass the voice actor by supporting him speaking in the WORST rendition of said accent of all time… AND also accept him going in and out of said shit accent at random intervals.”👀🙄

In all honesty, this has been quite a dramatic reenactment of my opinion… bc I am easily amused and found it funny. Ultimately, I’m being honest with the accent thing. It’s bugging me.

I’m going to finish the series BUT…

Great story line. I had an issue with the female narrator at the beginning but got used to it. All three series were a great listen.

Great Listen

Great story, and great narration!! All the ups and downs, without terrible angst!! Anna Zaires did not disappoint.
