Still reeling from financial loss and the deaths of two of their beloved dogs, the pair embark on a new life in a trailer park, populated with some of the most unconventional characters you'd ever not hope to meet. There's Gretchen, the park's unsympathetic and conniving manager, and her puny, perverted husband, Lloyd, who "maintains" the park grounds and who gives pool algae a bad name. Daisy and Lonnie May are the author's closest neighbors, and are, perhaps, the park's most devoted couple. Only Daisy May happens to be Lonnie's dog. Trailer Dogs will make you laugh, cry, and maybe even a little angry. But it will never make you bored.

What did you like best about Trailer Dogs: Life in America's New Middle Class? What did you like least?

Best? The everyday life stories. Least? Not much going on after the narrator changed her reading style. In the beginning, the narrator was really enthusiastic. I liked that. I almost gave up as the stories didn't start til several chapters in.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I don't know that there was any ending. It just....ended.

this was not what I expected but I thoroughly enjoyed it it was fun entertaining and made me laugh out loud

I can't listen to this due to the narrator breathing so noisily between sentences. She needs to clean out her nose before inhaling through it that hard. Very distracting and unpleasant. Too bad too, the book is actually pretty funny. But she ruins it.
