On a busy Washington morning, the stately calm of the White House is shattered in a deadly terrorist attack on the executive mansion. The president is evacuated to an underground bunker, but not before nearly 100 hostages are taken.
Mitch Rapp, the CIA’s top counterterrorism operative, is sent in to take control of the crisis and determines that the president is not as safe as Washington’s power elite had thought. Indeed, Rapp has made a chilling discovery that could rock Washington to its core: someone within his own government wants his rescue attempt to fail.

Transfer of Power, published in 1999, is the first novel written in the great Mitch Rapp series, but is Book 3 in Mitch Rapp's chronology. It begins what is doubtless the greatest espionage thriller series ever written. Just get the audiobook!
Term Limits and the first three Mitch Rapp novels (#3, 4, and 5 in the Rapp series) are the only of Vince Flynn's audiobooks not narrated by the wonderful George Guidall. All 4 of those books suffer from less than outstanding narration.
The first Mitch Rapp series novel written!

Fantastic story. Bad narration.

Any additional comments?
Flynn writes well told stories that seem plausible. I'm driving 13 hour round trips on the weekends to our vacation home, and these books keep me awake. My only complaint is, as with so many, a large amount of profanity.2nd Flynn Book - Great for Keeping Your Attention

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. It keeps you interested.Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
It had its moments where you get a bit nervous. What about Nick Sullivan’s performance did you like?
He was able to make the voices sound like separate people for the most part. Kings voice was most annoying but it really fit the character. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The parts where the terrorist were just cold blooded killing hostages...Any additional comments?
The ending seemed a bit lack luster....but it was ok.Pretty good
