Lily thought she had her hands full with her conflicted feelings over her quickly progressing relationship with Arruk’s wild twin, Drrak, the uneasy truce with the tribe leader, and trying to prove she’s trustworthy to a people who want nothing to do with her. But all that pales in comparison to what’s coming.
When Lily and her mates are sent into the forest to investigate the intruders closing in on tribe territory, they find something so horrifying it shocks Lily to her very core. But more than that, it pisses her off.
Driven now by the need to protect a people not her own and to stop the monsters that hunt them, Lily gathers the tribe to her cause, enlisting them to help her. But will they be ready in time or will Lily lose everything in the fight for survival?
Tribe Protector is the epic finale in the Chosen Series.

Yet, despite this, I still rated the 1st and 3rd books as 4 stars. These heros are my jam: unwanted, unloved, dejected and under the impression they have nothing to offer a mate. Lily is able to draw them out and give them each a chance to be their best away from their ultra-judgy tribe mates.
Yes, this is a reverse harem. The first book introduces the world and our 3 main heroes. The second and 3rd bring in a 4th male and the 4th book brings in a 5th. For some reason it was easy to accept the 3 original husbands, but just weirded me out to add more one at a time. The complete opposite of most alien romances where the Hero is overly possessive.
I understand the author will be continuing this universe, which is awesome because we still don't know much about the fish a$$holes who stole her in the first place, nor the wolfman who seems to be trying to kill the Shevarii.
If you just consider the romance, it's completely swoony and adorable and I reread parts just for that.
I hate titles

*Audiobook Review at Bottom
Cliffhanger(?): Yes-ish, can be read as an HFN HEA.
But there is a Book 4 🥰
Relationship Type: RH: Reverse Harem: MFMMM
Heat: 3.5/5
Romance: 4/5
Pacing: Mid-Mid Fast
Drama: 3.5-4/5
Suspense: 3.5-4/5
Dark(?): No.
This was the Book that made me hesitant to read this series, and it was actually based on the reviews. But man…this Book is so good! Don’t let negative or positive but ‘must point out’ reviews stop you. My new year resolution is to go with my gut when I really want to read something and not to be persuaded to avoid based on negativity. This book is not only crucial but is Book 3 when there’s a Book 4 next. It’s incredible important and insightful, and doesn’t feel like a filler to me.
Definitely jumping into Book 4 Next! 🥰
*Due to the Many Various type of Language Barriers I will put them in One of Three Categories.
Language Barrier(?): Yes.
Language Barrier - Temporary, Semi or Permanent(?): Semi.
*Permanent is where >both main characters/significant others< speak their own languages but cannot understand each other so they have to rely on using either various basic words, sounds or gestures to get a point across, and there is no mechanical solution or it’s unable to be used.
*Semi Permanent is where one or both teach each other their language and can at some point speak near fluent and may or may not have a mechanical solution at some point, but in the end can go without mechanical help but the option is there.
*Temporary is where there IS a mechanical solution to fix the language barriers between significant others permanently. No future issues.
Audiobook Review:
Overall: 4/5
Story: 4/5

The Narrators did a decent, I love this series so much and it’s great to hear it in audio. I’m jumping into the next book now ❤️ I hope it one day gets audio.

I really love this series a lot because the author actually has fully developed characters and relationships between the characters. I love the heroine, too, because she is strong and capable without being a Mary Sue.
Great series
