Minnie and Ben are back for more murder and mayhem!

Minnie Crockwell, recreational vehicle enthusiast and traveler, and her ghost companion, Ben, are heading north toward Colorado with a side trip to the Diablo Canyon Guest Ranch in northwest New Mexico. Beautiful scenery, private cabins, picnics and cookouts, guided horseback trail rides...what’s not to like?

Murder mystery meets complex family drama

I really enjoyed Diablo Canyon. For one, there is the murder mystery that unveils a very complicated family situation that just grows more and more complex as people entrust their secrets to Minnie - while telling her to keep things quiet.
Minnie herself seems to get more and more confident; and there is a bit of a twist to her relationship with Ben; a setback that they must overcome together and figure out what it means for them.
I’m not going to lie - I was choking up a few times because of this setback.

This was in big parts thanks to Michelle Babb and her, as usual, wonderful narration. Her superpower, aside from dry humor, is the portrayal of characters going through the motion and interacting with each other. She manages to handle the different relations as well as Ben’s and Minnie’s newfound situation with such tenderness and versatility, you can’t help but feel for and connect with all of them. Not just Minnie and Ben, but also Cassie and the other folks at the camp.

Drama in Diablo Canyon!

Minnie Crockwell’s Trouble in Diablo Canyon is #15 in the Will Travel for Trouble Series. Minnie wants to get off the grid and relax at a guest ranch, but murder and mayhem follow her. She was also a bit distressed with Ben’s situation, as am I! Nice Cozy story with a lot of family drama! Michelle Babb is outstanding in her performance once again! She creates unique vocal identities for the characters and the books come to life!

So Good!

As with her previous books, this one does not disappoint! This authors style of writing is quite refreshing. In this book everyone is connected in one way or another. This is a wonderful cozy mystery that anyone who enjoys a who done it will love.

Michelle Babb has an awesome gift as a story teller/narrator. She has a way of bringing the characters to life, each with their own personality.
I was provided this audiobook at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review. I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series. & I look forward to listening to more books by both the narrator & the author.

Another great Will Travel for Trouble book

We have enjoyed all the Will Trouble for Trouble books. Each story is set in a different campground, in a different state. This story is just over 5 hours.

We always enjoy Michelle Babb's narrations.
We will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

Nice listen

Family drama turns deadly. Thought I knew who the murderer was then dismissed it. Turns out I was right this time.

I was given this free audiobook copy at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great crime mystery

This is part of a series. You can start anytime, but recommend you start at the beginning. It's a fun, great crime mystery with a touch of paranormal (good ghost).

Very Enjoyable

I really enjoyed this book. Minnie was a little more like her old self, and the storyline was interesting. So many intertwined people and their histories. It was fun trying to figure it all and see where it was going. Michelle Babb did an excellent job, as always, as the narrator. She completely embodies Minnie’s voice and does it so well that I feel like I can picture what Minnie looks like just by hearing her voice. This is another great book in a fantastic series.

minnie has skills

Minnie is into this one clear up to her neck!! She was privy to oversharing and eavesdropping all over the place. Her unassuming nature and detective skills plus point blank questions and tenacity have her with a ring side seat to murder confessions and more. Minnie and Ben do not disappoint. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job.

More trouble.

Minnie and Ben can’t escape finding murder victims, the first person dies on a horse back trail ride as they arrive. So much for a relaxing time. But never fear, Minnie is here and people seem to tell her everything. There are several suspects, but Minnie gets to the bottom of the canyon mystery.

Best in the series so far

Minnie was looking forward to a peaceful stay at the Diablo Canyon Guest Ranch, sleeping in a tent, and enjoy a horse ride. Ben, who was becoming more solid in previous books, has gotten back to his previous invisible ghost form. Minnie’s relaxing plans are quickly interrupted by the sudden death of one of the ranch’s guests.

I absolutely love this series, but I have to say that this is one of the books I like the most. It was fun from beginning to end, with everybody knowing everybody, and they all keeping secrets from the rest. Again, Minnie seemed to be the one having the most pieces of the puzzle.

The death takes place quite at the beginning of the story, so we quickly get into the middle of things, which I found satisfying.

I think the rhythm in previous books was a bit hampered by the fact that Minnie and Ben could not have silent conversations due to his changing nature. At the beginning of this book, Ben returns to his old self, which is distressing for both characters, but offers more options for the author to transmit information, and it is also more dynamic and pleasant to the reader. I am not sure whether the author made the change because of this, but while it was exciting to see Ben becoming more tangible, his ghostly form suits the stories better in my opinion.

I had a great time and often laughed at the ludicrous situations they are thrown into, Minnie always ready with a snarky comment that I wish I had the courage to speak up myself sometimes. It was a hoot!

Michelle Bab delivered, as always, a wonderful narration, not only not disturbing the story, but adding lightness to it thanks to great character interpretations and the exact amount of sass on Minnie’s comments. I can’t recommend this series in audio format enough!

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
