About this listen

In this final installment of New York Times bestselling author Susan Stoker’s Silverstone series, a battle-scarred assassin must rescue an old flame from ruthless drug lords.

What was supposed to be a short trip to Jamaica becomes a years-long nightmare as Cassidy Hewitt and her son fall into the grip of an infamous drug kingpin. Desperate for rescue, Cassidy risks everything to send secret letters to the FBI, hoping someone, anyone, will answer her call.

When secret operative Leo “Gramps” Zanardi sees Cassidy’s letters, he knows this isn’t just another covert mission. The two had electric chemistry back in high school, and Leo finds himself eager for a reunion - even if the circumstances aren’t exactly ideal.

After arriving back in Indiana, Leo and Cassidy think they’re free to start a new life together. But the kingpin’s goons won’t let go of Cassidy so easily: they follow her from Jamaica, leaving carnage in their wake. Before the pair can fully embrace the love they’ve been missing all these years, they’ll need the entire Silverstone team’s help to be victorious in the showdown of their lives.

Good chemistry, great ending

I enjoyed this series and am very happy with the ending. I thank the author for letting us know what happens to all the characters. Yes the heroine made a stupid mistake, so what, we all do under much less stressful situations. I love Susan Stoker's series and she continues to be an automatic pre-order for me. Always worth the credit.

Loved it

Gramps’ story is awesome. He’s been a great side character through the entire series. I love the live he and Cassidy build. I few scenes had me in tears. Lucy did a great job narrating the series!

Gramps gets his girl

What a smash up finale to a short, slightly uneven but fun series. The epilogue was great!

Loved it!

This book was a great way to end the Silverstone Series. Susan gave you adventure, a little suspense and great romance. The heroine did drive me crazy sometimes blaming herself for getting herself stuck in her situation but how could she see that happening? On the the next group of heroes by Susan.

Loved it, only 1 minor complaint

my only complaint was that Cassidy's dad's accent and the Jamaican accents were very similar, otherwise, loved this book.
just wish there were more members of Silverstone so there could be more books 💕

Trusting Cassidy by Susan Stoker

Another Susan Stoked book, and series, finished. My only regret is that all of her books aren't part of Kindle Unlimited so that I could read them all. Maybe if I put a request up for Santa clause
I'll be able to read them!! I hope everyone has a happy holidays!!

I was on the edge of my seat

Seriously, I listened every free moment I had. There was so much tension as we wait for Cassidy and Leo to escape the compound and Island.

Cassidy Hewitt took a job teaching in Jamaica never realizing she'd fallen into the grip of a drug kingpin. With things growing more and more dangerous by the day, she risks everything to reach out to the FBI hoping someone would come to their rescue.

When the team at Silverstone receives her letters from their FBI contact, Leo "Gramps" Zanardi knows this mission isn't going to be like any other mission they've done. He and Cassidy had known each other back in high school but he hopes that doesn't jeopardize the mission when she sees him.

After the rescue, she comes back to Indiana with Leo for a fresh start. And just as she's settling into new life, the head of the kingpins security, is closing in on Cassidy with the intent of making her suffer for ruining the life he was accustomed to.

But Cassidy will do anything to keep her new friends and family safe even if it means willing going with the one man she'd never wanted to see again. But she soon realizes that she wants to fight for the man she just got a second chance with.

It was okay.

I got really irritated at the heroine atone point. She made an absolutely idiotic move. I would also love for the author to use synonyms for her preferred, ‘belly’. There are connotations to each. Stomach for illness, waist for intimate times, belly for babies.

Action-packed story

Trusting Cassidy by Susan Stoker was the final book in the Silverstone series and what a gripping and action packed story it was. I really enjoyed Leo “Gramps” and Cassidy’s love story especially the special bond between Leo and her son, Mario. Lucy Rivers did a wonderful job narrating this story and was able to capture all the different emotions that all the characters experienced throughout this book. There were a few graphic scenes that were a bit hard to listen to though but did not affect how much I loved this book. The epilogue was fantastic and great way to end the series.
