About this listen

Megan: Have you ever fallen so deeply for someone that you’d be willing to do anything for them? I was willing to do anything for Aaron, including leaving him if it meant keeping him from getting tangled up in my past. Aaron wasn’t going to let me run. Even if there was an army after me, he’d gather arms and prepare for a war.

Aaron: Letting Megan go wasn’t an option. She’d become a part of me that I couldn’t live without. Some of the horrifying secrets from her past had been revealed, but I believed Megan’s final secret had the power to rain down hellfire on my MC, and I’d been right.

When my father went behind my back and called my cousin Ansel for backup, I knew that all hell was about to break loose, and I ended up preparing to fight an adversary so dangerous, my life teetered on the brink of extinction.

Warning: This book is an interracial romance that contains strong violence and sexual content and is intended for adults. This is fiction, not a documentary. If you are easily offended or squeamish about harsh or demeaning language, murder, and violence, this is not the book for you.

Great but the female narrator - UGH.

This is my first review. EVER! And I have over 400 audiobooks. I just had to write because this book was really great HOWEVER gosh darn it, her voice was so annoyingly nasally. I'm sorry to say she ruined it for me. Voices are everything, obviously!!! Sometimes I really wonder why or how some of these people get the job. Sorry to say this gal is not the one. BUT THE STORY ITSELF is really good. IMO.

Great storyline!

it was a little struggle to finish. It started off pretty slow but finished strong. Aaron sounds wonderful to the eyes which made the story even better for this beautiful black woman. A black woman who broke down racial barriers in this family. Pretty good!

Emotional RollerCoaster

This was an awesome series so far, I went from tense, crying in traffic and cheering for my MC. About to start book 4.

Freaking Awesome!

Loved this book and the series so far! Every part was good and flowed together. I almost passed out when Aaron was down but great writing kept me in it and hooked until the end. Great writing Ms. Kendric! Great narrating! Cannot wait until I can read 4, 5, and 6! You will love this action packed "twisted" series!

That female narrator

This book was the best of the three. It was filled with emotional twists and turns but my one gripe is that female narrator. If she didn’t sound like she was reporting the news she sounded so stereotypically “black and sassy” it was cringe worthy. And her male voice is just as bad. She has a great voice it’s just a shame she can’t figure out how to read and sound like the emotions that the book is trying to convey.
