About this listen

Romance author Maya finds herself trapped in a never-ending time loop, reliving the same luxurious masquerade party night after night. But there's a twist—someone keeps trying to kill her.

Each time she dies, she wakes back up in the limo heading to the party, and she's determined to uncover the mystery of her predicament.

Enter Ethan Vanderbilt, an erotically handsome and intimidating billionaire who becomes obsessed with possessing Maya. When he also gets caught in the time loop, the two must work together to unravel the mystery and find a way out.

Will they be able to solve the puzzle before it's too late, or will they be stuck in the loop forever?

From champagne-filled celebrations to edge-of-your-seat thrills, Eternally Yours is a tantalizing time-loop romance that will keep you hoping that the story never ends.

Great story, but bad dialogue

This story was so great and imaginative, but it was difficult to get past the characters vulgar words. Had the vulgarity been saved for the love scenes, it would have made the characters classier. Regardless, I ended up loving the story. It would make a fun movie!

Sexy “Groundhog’s Day”

There’s a lot to like in this engaging story. A “time loop” story could easily become boring and repetitive, but both Wright’s story and Brehon‘s performance manage to avoid engendering boredom and instead lean into the gradually unfolding mystery. Brehon imbues each round of the opening scene with a new vocal emphasis and rhythm, making the elements both familiar and new at the same time. Wright’s writing is like the opening puzzle box, unlocking one new element at a time, s l o w l y drawing out the action and teasing us nearly unmercifully. Even the much-alluded-to racist joke, when finally revealed, serves to emphasize the character of the protagonist’s friend (or “friend”?) as well as eliciting true laughs alongside the cringe, something that could easily have missed the mark. I am particularly admiring of how deftly Wright manages to confront racism fairly directly at several points without becoming maudlin or overbearing. The race of her characters is important to the story, but it’s not the sole point of it, allowing her to acknowledge the racism inherent in our culture with both clarity and humor. Brava.

The sex scenes are explicit, and very much written for a monogamously oriented Fantasy Romance audience. This means that pregnancy and STI protection are never even thought of by our protagonists. Though to be fair, it’s hard to think of the future when you are living the same evening over and over and over! 😆 And of course, being a genre Romance, it has the obligatory Happily Ever After, to take care of these pesky details.

It’s not a book for the faint of heart or easily offended. The language around both sex and racism is explicit. But if you value a fun and sexy story that tells truth about our society wrapped up in a fantastic — by which I mean both “fantasy” and “good” — container, I’d encourage you to give it a go. Well worth the credit, in my opinion.

I liked the suspense more than the romance

Maya and Ethan navigating and ultimately resolving a time loop was fun. I was enjoying Maya's confrontations with her friends as many truths came to light. But I wasn't into Maya and Ethan's romance. Ethan falling hard for Maya through her writings before he had ever met her was hard for me to buy into. I also found most of the dialogue between the two of them to be cheesy and obnoxious. The narrator's delivery further exasperates that issue. Thankfully, all of this ended with an exciting final confrontation between Maya and her "killer" and a beautifuly described trip out of the time loop. The epilogue was a nicely done as well.

Loved everything about this book

Definitely different from other Kenya Wright books but stellar nonetheless! I really enjoyed the character development even with the fun twists that could have interrupted the plot.

Awful narration but decent story

Plot left a lot of holes. Zero character development. I couldn’t finish the audiobook due to the truly awful narration. Her male voice was laughable and her female voice was breathy, ditzy, and exaggerated every word. I switched to kindle and did finish but wasn’t overly impressed, I love Kenya so I will buy more books but please vet your narrators better.

Loved it! Another Kenya Wright home run!

The only thing I did not initially like about the story was Maya's friends, and that was resolved very quickly. As usual, Miss Wright did an excellent job in character design and world building, and each character was written exactly in a way that served the story beautifully.

I was also a little put off by the narration, at first, but it did not take long to get very engrossed in the story, and enjoy the narration. The voice actor did a fantastic job with such a large cast of voices that she had to do.

This was a fantastic work, and I'm so glad that I got it. Get the book! You won't regret it!

I bond between the two main characters.

I hope there is a sequel to the story, I would like to see how their children turned out.

Pleasantly Surprised

I was looking for something to listen to while working. Kenya Wright always have good stories, but when I read the summary I was a little out put off by the groundhog day insp. Baby I'm so glad I bought this book. Kenya added her touch to the the time loop theme and it turned out great. It's a must listen

Once again an amazing read

Love the story, it so different from other things she has written but don’t worry the story is still sexy as Ever! Such a great love story and all the twist and turns make it even more fun and exciting to read!
